Working in a freezer advice...

Starting a new job soon. Will be spending 6 to 12 hrs a day in a freezer at -10 degrees Fahrenheit.
I’ve never done this. I’ve been in freezer for relatively short stretches, and spent longer stints in walkin coolers, but this will be different.
Currently lining up my gear from this place:
https://www.refrigiwear.com/
Pretty much decided I’m going with a bib and jacket setup versus coverall.

Any tips and hints (boots, gloves, etc.) from those with experience in working in very cold temps appreciated.

Foot warmer packets.
Place them across the TOP of your feet. (That's where the blood vessels are.)

I worked in a cooler for a few years, most miserable work environment ever.

Insulated rubber gloves. Though i guess a freezer would should be dry. I was always wet and cold.

You aren't the first and only one working there right? I'd ask one of the other people how they stay warm while in here that long.

If over 50 years old...don't do it.

Dry ice can burn you.

I worked at a dairy that had a massive freezer...
Never worked in there though...

There was a CIA mini-office in the defunct "cheese room"
That certain employees would visit now and then....
Trick door with code to enter...escape tunnel to the loading docks too.

One plus for working in the deep freeze is that the government surveillance microwaves cannot penetrate the freezer walls!

They do not supply anything.
I had a look at some of the crew.............Most have standard freezerwear stuff that I have coming.
But there’s a couple dudes that are not dressed properly imho.........they must be getting really cold, or they’re not in there for long stretches..........hopefully that’s it.

As long as your constantly moving you should be OK.
-10F is cold, but there is no wind.
Headgear, gloves and footwear.
Exposed skin will be limited to your face. Maybe a balaclava if that becomes a concern.

I've always liked the cold, as long as it isn't windy, and as long as I'm dressed for it.

Bought all that stuff, not 100% sure on the boots I bought yet, but have a pair of heavy duty Sorels I can wear until I buy different boots if need be.
An important tip that I got is to not get your heart rate up too much........in other words........don’t be bustin azz........stay relaxed as possible to avoid heavy and rapid breathing..........I plan on following that advice.

There is no way you will be able to do this day in and day out. We have -20 walk-ins at my job and people aren't allowed to spend more than 10 minutes in them and they have to have a monitor. I don't care how much money you are making, it ain't worth it.

Well chit............clearly I have to do more research.
I thought 30-45 minutes not a problem.......but like I said in the OP.......never done this before
Ours are only -10......probably doesn't make much difference.
Guess I'll have to find out the scoop at the orientation coming up after my drug test.
