He is literally the man behind the throne right now.
If you don't know who he is at all, then you likely aren't informed enough to know anything about the other 3 people you're whining about.

Hey now.
I was willing to give you that "gotcha" but now you're going to get into reading comprehension?

Let's talk about his "argument" in terms of reading comprehension.

"im not sure who that is"
This is the fundamental first part of his argument. He does not know who Stephen Miller is. I think this is self explanatory.

"is he as worm/smug as schumer or pelosi or as dumb as maxine waters or as racist as corey booker?"
Now he's comparing the attributes assigned to Stephen Miller with a list of other people.
Who are the other people? And how many are there? Doesn't matter. He's pulling a "But whatabout" on the discussion of stephen miller, trying to turn it into a complaint about any of the other people he listed....

Given that Stephen Miller is literally tongue-f$$king trumpenfuerher's ear right now, the only people who might be worth a "but whatabout" are others with similar access to power. Putin, Trump... Trump Jr... Ivanka... Kuchner...

So does that second sentence require a deep read? No. It requires a scan to see if any names are significant enough to warrant reading his "whatabout" argument. When it became clear they weren't, we can move forward.

If I had bothered engaging the stupid argument of whether Miller is "as x as y", then you could talk about my reading comprehension.....

don't be distracted from the main idea for this thread...

Trump has surrounded himself with advisers who are like-minded people: white nationalists who blame whatever problems their supporters may have on those "other people," like the Mexicans, people from schithole countries, who are drug dealers, rapists and murderers...

this destructive and divisive ideology does not help America to become greater than all its parts, which is the definition of this country's greatness...it only serves to heighten the emphasis on what our differences are, not what we all have in common... while elevating some at the expense of others...

Heard this a few times lately....I am honestly confused by the term in recent contextual use.
Do you mean to say that Trump and those he has anointed are nationalists who are white?
If so, what is a nationalist? I think it means someone who is proud of the nation....not so different than patriotic, maybe? Or perhaps shaded a bit to mean somewhat anti-globalist, I suppose?
Or...is the suggestion that Trump and Miller and others in close orbit are actually racist and sincerely push an agenda that intentionally disfavors non-whites?

Apparently.

I am aware that Stephen Miller is said to be influential regarding Trump's views on immigration, but beyond that, i don't know much about him. I just did some cursory googling to read some of the horrific things he has said and done.....not much there...at least near the surface. Even a hit piece by cnn had to reach ...worst things they said about him was that he admires Trump.....and doesn't think too highly of people here illegally

I'm not living in a disconnected prepper hut. I am aware there are racist whites out there....and I have taken Trump to task for not disowning them....and for perhaps even quietly reveling in their support. But I don't believe for a minute that Trump and those around him are formulating policy that is designed to further specific racist agendas.

if he is then he needs to channel his inner obama and push to match the former president's record setting wage stagnation and increase in people below the poverty level. heck, if hes really effective a few cities might even burn to the ground in "peaceful" demonstration.

There's another hit piece on Miller on The Atlantic web site. I read it sorta fast, but seems the author had a hell of a time painting a negative picture using Miller's own words and actions....but by calling him a troll repeatedly...and trying to associate him with infamous characters like Milo and Rush and Bannon....well, he must be a card carrying kkk dragon, or something

Nothing horrific.... you're not going to see him wearing swastikas or anything.
But, he apparently conveniently parrots a lot of the same arguments used by white nationalist groups, which would suggest he's following their media accounts...

He's definitely a smarmy little douche. There's some video of him in high school making some speech about why he has to pick up his own trash when there's janitors to do that.

He's been big on the whole "why does x minority get their own special group" kind of bs.

He's trying to be edgy, but really just courting the 8chan group. ie, the white nationalists.

The current view is that a lot of the less desirable (or desirable if you're into trying to traumatize children) trumpenfeurher policies are being pushed by miller.

Additionally he was a little too close to white nationalist Spencer when they were both apparently at Duke (Spencer claims he mentored Miller).

OK," white nationalists" might be too strong a term to describe Trump, Miller and others in the Trump administration. The term is perceived as a euphemism for white supremacist, and they clearly avoid that label. But their actions and words have provided comfort to and advances the agendas of those who are clearly white nationalists. Here's an article that discusses this...

Im confused

Is trump super crazy and rogue and firing everyone or is he being spoon fed by Putin, fatty Kim, this Miller clown and everyone else? Does our outrage depend on the day? I mean, you are all so forthcoming on the actual policies that are crushing the black, Hispanic, etc populations that im drowning in the evidence. Im astounded by the lack of hitler references, demonization and other hyperbole - really good job.

Also, help me to better understand myself. I believe in the rule of law, that our country was founded on judeo Christian ethics and that it is no crime to take care of our own tax paying citizens before shipping our young men and women and treasure everywhere else (all of my fellow white nationalists will pick up on my coded language and understand what I really mean) . On a scale of mother Teresa to cory Booker, how racist am i?
