Cell phone "SEVERE WEATHER ALERT - TORNADO WARNING - Seek shelter immediately" alarm went off at 3:23 this morning.

It was rockin' and rollin' . . . heavy horizontal rain, extremely high winds, nonstop REALLY bright lightning and LOUD thunder.
Luckily, it only lasted for about 15 minutes, and then it calmed down.
Pretty scary schitt !

To each his own... Binge watched the first 5 seasons in about 3 weeks... Not for me... Like breaking bad, I found myself wanting to fast forward through a lot of the long, drawn out scenes that seemed more like attempts at winning a best actor award than necessary conveyances of important information... I get the appeal... But I'd rather watch cartoons...

Huh....

It took you what I'm guessing is 50 or 60 hours to decide it isn't for you?

I understand Opel...

The wife once was like "I'm gonna peg you with this enormous dragon sized strap on"... and I was like "I don't think I'll like that"... and she said "how do you know until you try?"

....it took about 40 hours before I really decided I didn't like it.

Had to give it a fair chance... And clearly there was enough there to keep me coming back... But all said and done, I found myself not caring what happened next to the stories or the characters... And that's how I knew it wasn't for me...

By contrast, binged breaking bad and quit half way through season 2... I wouldn't say it wasn't for me, I think it actually sucked... If I wanted to listen to some blonde chick whine and bitch for half an hour a week I would've married that lady who cut me off on the freeway the other day...

I don't think I would compare watching game of thrones with being sodomized... Watching an hour of carrot top do stand up, yes...

You did get me thinking, why on earth would I have spent that much time watching something like that... I think that was probably the period of time where my back was chronically out for a year and a half and the doctor had me on ever increasing amounts of opiates... Spent most my time sitting in the garage... Good memories...

dammmm...hope opel liked them...

but really..... it took gummy 30 oz to realize it was bad coffee...

however, I know how opel feels about GOT...I had the same experience with The Walking Dead...got through five seasons, then kinda watched the following year and gave up after that...no longer liked the characters...

anybody watching Into the Badlands? kinda cartoonish, as far as martial arts fighting, but some good photography and multiple interesting story lines....

The woman occasionally gets interested in the previews due to the costumes. We haven't tried it yet.

don't apologize to me. I just was confused and felt like I'd seen it before. I figured it was 5 or 6 years ago, by someone else.... didn't realize you'd done it yourself!

My house got hit by lightning about 8-10 years ago, it took out the well pump and lots of other stuff...make sure you check all your Televisions and stereos, check all your electronics in the house and in the garage. We lost the TV and stereo in the garage, along with 3 TVs in the house and the surround stereo along with 2 computers...check them all, before you contact your insurance...

Despite the excessive beer consumption, couldn't sleep last night. Got a nap on the couch, went to bed and laid awake till 6am.

Now I'm tired.

Had plans to do things today, but I don't see that happening.
