are you someone I should contact?

I work mostly with developers, engineers, architects and government agencies. I do have a couple of beach house rentals that may be of interest. I'll PM.

Morning dudes.

So, I was having a great day yesterday. My middle child had flag football practice. He comes to the car with a jammed thumb saying the ball hit it and it went back. Coach says put ice on it, you will be fine. Me says, no let's go to the ER.

Children's ER had us in and out within an hour. X-rays show a fracture. Thumb is splinted until tomorrow where he will get a cast. Flag football = fun times! Never a broken bone while playing tackle...

Sign him up for rugby. He'll learn the valuable lesson of never telling his mother about broken body parts.

I just can't keep the family in good health... We all have it this time around... I don't know what's going on... We eat relatively healthy, get lots of exercise, lots of outdoor time, keep the house clean... Probably gonna have to look at moving out of the area... Sucks... I really hoped to never have to move again...

Usually when there is an injury the coach says "walk it off".

I sure did! He thinks it's crazy that it's fractured!

Thank you for the well wishes.

Any time I thought I broke a finger I waited a couple days to see what the bruising looked like. I've found the bruising and swelling is really a lot different between a strain/sprain/jam and breakage.... And a couple days doesn't really make much difference for a small bone like that. Just tie it to its neighbor and sort it out in a couple days if it hasn't gotten better. :)

I've been lucky enough to never dislocate a finger, but we've had guys just rotate it back in to the right direction, tie it to the neighbor, and be back on the field the next day.

I've found that tongue depressors and athletic tape works for both sprains and breaks

For sprains, that KT tape is some of my favorite.

When I separated a shoulder, I spent the rest of a season with KT tape across parts of my collarbone every practice/match. Felt so much better... really supports the joint. Did the same thing with a knee when a lifter brought me down a bit wrong and the knee went wonky.

What kind of kinky stuff are you doing outside with your neighbors? I think the rotating the finger in the wrong place was the problem.

Slept all day but don't feel like it.

Wife texted me that the feed store has the chicks she wants, and wants to try to get over there in the morning after work. Told her I have an appointment with firewood guy at 9 but can go after.

Firewood pickup is Saturday... I'm still off a day.

Back to work. Didn't bring food cause I always go to the cafeteria and get fish on Fridays. So... they don't have fish today.

About once a week a get a customer that wants to know what is the best alchohol free beer or wine. Good thing they don't ask for one that tastes good.

Great start to the season. I put three good'uns in the freezer.

Fishing with a full charter (53 people) I lost two good'uns because people are f---ing stupid. Full charters should have a minimum experience limit... NO GOOGANS.

Put in almost 6 hours of work today!

Highlight was taking a customer to some fancy (...overpriced...) hamburger place. We both had the Wagyu beef burger and garlic fries. Bill came out to a little over $57 with tip. Although I’m gonna expense it, thank goodness I didn’t have a drink (...they had Weller 12 there...).

Afterwards, yapped on the phone for a bit, answered a couple e-mails then went to see another customer.

I’m beat!

Yah, I know... Boo hoo! Boo hoo! Boo hoo!

You are going to have to start typing with subtitles in english.

I'll be fine. Boy's off school today, I'm off work till Sunday night. Brain should reset itself at that time.

Wife and I are gonna go pickup a new batch of baby chickens today.

Not sure but during my time in the midwest we called some beer "near beer". I think it was beer with low alcohol content - below 3.2 % rings a bell. Of course there was Falstaff which sounds close enough and Grain Belt which was just awful.

8 baby chickens beeping in the basement.

Gonna try to keep the flock small this time. First round made it to 40+ chickens, which was way too much. Once we were down to 20 ish was a pretty good number but I was basically paying about $3-4/day to give away most of the eggs.

Now you're just making up words...

Good'uns = good ones... i.e. - nice sized fish.

Googans - rookie fishermen

More likely it was just the fact we had 53 people on board. Tangles are gonna happen.

"iPhone 8 survives washing machine"

So I left my cell phone in the pocket of my sweatshirt. The wife washed it.

It still works, but I need a new screen protector. I'm actually amazed it did not die. Shocked, I tell you.
