great year-round weather, variety of landscapes - from the beaches to the mountains to the desert all in one day, cuisine, high tech side by side with agriculture...people from all over the world...world class universities attracting smart innovative people from everywhere...great medical facilities...entertainment choices that run the gamut...corporate conglomerate HQ's mixed in with mom and pop businesses...huge traffic in harbors and intn'l airports...
All true...
I moved to the Bay Area in 74, and I'd go to the City quite a bit in the 70s, until I moved to Santa Cruz in 79, when my visits to the City became less frequent.....typically a ball game, or concert, or to go hang with a few friends I knew that lived there. Still, I've seen a lot of change
San Francisco simply aint what it used to be imo............there is so much ugliness.
But guess what the fuq!
Same can be said about Portland, Medford, Seattle, San Diego, Los Angeles, Oceanside, Salinas, Santa Cruz, and so on.
That's simply how it is now.....it's the new norm.....and there ain't no simple fixes on the immediate horizon.
Welcome to 2019.
