Woke up early and couldn't get back to sleep. Hoping I can get an appointment with the dentist as I've developed 2 problems in the last two days.

weird how Trump's decisions are negatively affecting voters in his base, but they still support him (not you victor) ... his economic policies are hitting the heartland most severely

Best day since March in Cali.

Left work @ 11.
Dog walk on a 70 degree day.
Dropped flowers off at work for my wife.
Leeds vs. Derby (only a slight letdown).
Now on the deck with cigar and a very nice bourbon.

Niiiiice.

Imagine all of the Minnesota Soybean lattes you are missing.

While you are there, make some notes on how Trump can make a Great Wall.

Good work, soldier... now send some good weather my way. Wind and waves are delaying my first foray into the open ocean aboard Yellow Fever. Brick wall

We get rain tomorrow, then colder Friday-Sunday (50).

Now that I've experienced 60 ocean water and those waves, I can see (sea) not every day on the water is California Dreamin'.

Got my teeth fixed at noon, back home and mowing by 2 PM. Self propelled cable broke around 4:30 PM. Will try to fix it tomorrow and continue mowing. Rain predicted for Friday, so what doesn't get done tomorrow has to wait 8/9 days until I get home from Cape Cod.

Random realization: it was 3yrs ago today that I returned from Jamaica, decided to trade cigs for cigars, and hit the local B&M. Had a mild heart attack over cost and grabbed a Macanudo Ports Fina, RP Edge Maduro, and an AF Exquisito, also maduro.

Shortly discovered online shopping and since then, near as I can figure, have tried 429 various blends and/or vitolas. Some were crap. Some were awesome. But either way I still get a thrill out of trying something new.

In short, happy tobaccoversary to me

Gone out too many times in bay and inland waters in Florida in small boat, thinking as long as I am not in the Gulf in bad weather I am OK. I have learned otherwise. My new rule.....if the storm has a name or termed "tropical" in some way - stay off the water. Just because you are in supposedly protected waters means nothing in a big wind......well it means something - like you get scared witless instead of dead. Not sure this rule applies to other locales.

Lawnmowing after work was a success.

Storms coming later today/tonight/tomorrow and had two dry days in a row, plus with the septic tank drained (It's full to the brim with water again) the yard dried out enough to mow.

Only got stuck 3 times but none bad enough to get the winch. Still can't get to about 1/3 of the yard from swamp muck, but knocked down lots of foot deep grass.

I've been on Lake Michigan on a 24 footer in a thunderstorm.

6+ foot waves, watching the bow go through/under the water and trying to hang on for dear life for 20 some miles back to the marina. . That was not fun.

I'd not want to be on the ocean in a storm.
