Recommended me some menu items for the weekend or confirm my choices. Feeding people in bulk. Need to crank out the food quickly in the morning, and needs to be portable. Lunch needs to be light and portable. Dinner needs to be filling, deliverable in a foil pack, but not rushed or portable as everyone should be pretty much done for the day and able to sit/lean.

Right now for breakfast I've got sausage patties egg n cheese on English muffin. Potatoes O'Brien with egg and chorizo in tortilla. Tortillas stuffed with shredded taters, tomato, egg, bacon, peppers, onions. And tortillas with spinach mushroom onion cheese egg and sage sausage.

Lunch menu bratwurst and sauteed onions, Chicago style hot dogs, hamburgers with the fixins, and grilled chicken Caesar salad wraps.

Dinner menu pork chops, fajitas, pulled pork and slaw, and jambalaya. Grilled sweet corn once or twice.

Going shopping over the weekend to try to get holiday sales. I'm open to suggestions if anyone's got some. First time with food as an official duty, I wanna do it well. I have to make some vegetarian meals too, but pb&j sammich sub ain't hard to do.

Looking to do 15 dudes 3 meals for $150/day for 4 days. That's what I'll be getting paid. I can do it, but I wanna make the food worthwhile as well.

About half the dudes will be enjoying Michigan's new freedoms so I really wanna deliver a savory and satiating meal. Breakfast needs to be good hangover food. Lunch needs to be light and portable and dinner needs to be very filling and rich.

you seem to have the "pork 3 times a day" commandment covered.
vegetarian is prolly easier than Kosher though.

To stay within cost, have you thought about swapping the chops for something cheaper and more portable? Get a giant pot of meatballs going in marinara maybe... Other than bread and cheese, not a lot if fixings to mess with...

Hebrew nationals are super easy! Are those still kosher? The price went way down on them recently...

The walks and hikes are getting progressively more painful on my knee. Not about to stop being as active as possible but parts are waring out.

Guess it won't be much longer before I need to order new parts. I assume it's kinda like rebuilding the hot rod, just put in make, model and year and find a good mechanic to do the installation.Think

Pork n chicken are cheap and delicious.

Got the pork chops for a buck a pound and chickens for 0.79 a pound.

Thinking the pork chops could go on buns with garlic aioli and giardinera. Got em cheap. I only bought 8, dunno if I'll do chops or cut em up for a stir fry or something.

Did the grocery shopping this morning. Forgot to get sausage patties so I'll have to go back but I got everything for just under $130. Hamburgers and brats were the most expensive meal per serving.

Knocked out a project I been ignoring for about 3 years.

After I removed the shower and tub from the camper and replaced the floor, I've had that corner of the bathroom with exposed wiring and plumbing and stuff. Didn't matter really, just kept a laundry basket broom and vacuum there.

Welded up a bracket to bolt to the frame rail for the far side, and put some 2x3s on the runners closer to the floor side. Topped with plywood and enclosed with leftover paneling from when I replaced the wall in the bedroom. Finished off with vinyl tiles.

Looks a lot better.

Still gotta put up some sort of wall covering. Just had bare luan wood behind the shower. Some of that got removed cause it was rotten, so it's showing Styrofoam in spots.

I got face to face with a moose in Yellowstone a few decades ago...was recording it with a camcorder and didn't realize how close he got to me...my sister yelled at me to step back and when I put the camcorder down, he was about a foot away...big sucker with full antlers and snot dripping outta his nostrils...

My wife's birthday is Monday. We both have to work, but I got her a little sumpin'. While I was out... I got myself a little sumpin', too. I figured Father's Day is coming up, and it happens to be our 30th... so I got a Daiwa Lexa 400 for her to give me. BigGrin

Ran into one on the Kancagamus highway in NH 10 years or so ago. He had water dripping from his mouth because he was snacking in the culvert and I got about 3-4 feet from him. He just looked at me and didn't seem to mind the flash from the camera, then he went back to snacking. He had one hell of a rack.

Tried to sit on the deck with a cigar but the mosquitos are terrible. Went to the garage and closed the door. Still smashed at least a dozen in the last 10 minutes.

I've tried citronella candles in the past, didn't seem to do a thing.

Might help in the garage though.

Fan works in the garage, which is why I went there.

Keeps the skeeters off of me and carries the smoke away.

Did get the crap scared outta me by a toad though. Heard some scurrying underneath the welding cart and figured it was a mouse but kept hearing it. Got down on all fours and shined my flashlight under there and a toad jumped right at my face.
