Wife turned the air conditioner on...

She complained that I had too many windows open before she went to bed, closed them and turned the AC on.

It's 70 degrees outside.

Normal summer use we keep the thermostat at 80. she turned it down to 70.

I think she needs to get a job and pay for this chit.

I was wondering how that would work on the wife. I'm open to options

For the skeeters though, I had a big propane powered skeeters vacuum extermination device. Caught pounds of mosquitos a week, but didn't seem to make a difference in the number that found me.

There's billions of them in the yard, and an equal number will emerge from the swamp tomorrow. Or more. The eggs survive deep freeze, and hatch with extended wet periods. Yard ain't been dry since last summer. There's legacy eggs gettin hatched out there. 10 years of skeeter eggs gone wild out here

Out early for a walk, taking the wifey for a bagel and romp in the Vette, then a cigar and Indi, cigar, Nascar, cigar, etc.

BTW, I hate skeeters even though they are rare in the desert. Anything that drives me to go inside has to be eradicated.

Like jackrabbits on Viagra! And they can live in an inch of water...

Started with 5 in my pond... By the end of last summer, I had a couple thousand... Fished them all out and put them in the plastic containers you put under pots to catch the water, with about an inch of water... Figured the birds would pick most of them off... Nope...they kept multiplying... I ended up using them as fertilizer...

going up to the Eastern Sierras in a couple of weeks...mosquitoes are pretty hungry this time of year there...we fished the Saddlebag Lake loop twenty or so years ago...BIL had every square inch of the back of his jacket and his hat covered by mosquitoes, like a swarm of bees...luckily he only got a few bites on his face and the back of his hands........unforgettable...

I'd put fish in the swamp if it stayed underwater. Normally it dries to a cracked clay around the 4th of July. Think it'll be underwater this year.

Changed the oil in the mower. Found a mouse nest and a mouse between the air jacket and the cylinder fins. Had to take a bunch of stuff apart to clean it out. Mowed what I could again. Maybe worst mow yet. Got stuck countless times.

No rain right now so got the charcoal heating up. Brats for dinner.

Went back to Aldi to pick up a few things I forgot for next weekend. Hate going there for small pickups but there was nobody there. In and out in 5 minutes.

Just gotta pickup water, beer, and propane and I should be set.

Mowed the front lawn yesterday... It was probably 8-10" long already after 2 weeks absence. Got to the back yard today .. may have them under control by next week.

Hauled a bunch of big flat rocks to make a back patio and walkway for the woman... We'll see how that turns out .

Raining again. Sigh, Dan sounds like you have had more rain, but not by to much. The band of weather that hits you is a little south of me. I am about 25 miles west of the lake and about 10 miles south of the Sconny border.
