How many of you knuckleheads spin records and listen to music the good ol' way?
What turntables, speakers, amps, pre amps, etc. do you use?

Haha! No, I remember some topics better than others. The discussion on the vintage stereo equipment was a good one too.

Currently using Marantz direct drive with Kenwood SS 60 rms amp and JBL L19 speakers. Have 3 extra technics turntables in reserve not counting my 78 rpm ancient tube stuff. Not got the models memorized. I also have two slave amps set up for remote speakers in other parts of house

Well I don't have a turntable. Yet. Been researching for a new one. Think I've settled on a Pro-ject Debut Carbon. Got a nice carbon fiber tone arm and comes with a pretty good stylus out of the box. I've been stock piling records for the past few years and now I need to pull the trigger on a table.

Have more speakers than I know what to do with. Some nice bookshelf sized KLH's from the late 60's/early 70's. Kef towers from the 90's. Bose 201. Some big azz cerwyn Vega's... Infinity towers...DLK'S...

occasionally play my LPs...I have an ancient Panasonic quad system from the early 70's in the office...in the man cave, I have a newer (2012) Pro-Ject turntable hooked up to an Onkyo TX-NR receiver and a set of Aperion speakers and sub (honestly, too much for the 10' x 20' room)

the Pro-Ject is a solid turntable...

My setup has changed since the last year so I will post new here.

The Vintage Pioneer 727 (college) died over the holidays so I looked for something that I can run my TV through.

Picked up a Sony STR GX5ES, kicks out a lot of power, does the job and it cost me next to nothing. Still use the Technics SLB-D3 with Audio Technia cartridge.

My son left me his Advent Laureate Towers (which I love), I moved everything to the basement, stowed the Baby Advents and now use both the Laureates and the - opps - they are 10 inch Advents (5002) together.
Plus i run the TV through the receiver so the sound is fantastic for movies.

I play an LP many mornings while I work out, loudly!
