so do you personally think it's ok for him to do what he said he would (hypothetically) do?

It doesn't matter whether I think it's OK or not.

I joined the discussion because I found the (continued) hypocrisy worthy of a comment.

But I'll answer: No. It's really NOT OK.

But if this is the litmus test for being worthy of the position, then the oval office will sit in silence in perpetuity.

Trump said he'd take information from a foreign government that would hurt a political opponent and help his election.

Wonder if China and Iran would have any interest in helping Dems win in 2020?

Check the Clinton Foundation deposit slips, they might get a carry over from 2016.

somewhere in there is an answer to the topic, buried in comments about the same reaction as yours but about others being nuts. It doesn't matter what any of us think, we're just talking here.

you are the only one calling it a litmus test.

It's wrong, he'd be wrong to do it, we agree. and if we didn't agree, that would be ok too.

and he has rescinded his remarks since I was last on here. As of now, he might think we are right too.

You say it's not a litmus test, yet people are wanting him removed from office and they're using this excerpt as their reason du juor.

true.
they also have a lot more and they are arguably correct...arguably incorrect too.

Personally, my preference would be for them to work hard on putting up a candidate to defeat him in the next election.

If we could just get Trump outta there and insert Hillary... we wouldn't have to worry about any 'foreign powers'...

We'd be in one big happy one world government with the smart people in Brussels making all the decisions.

Me2...I wonder what Evan McMullin is doing nowadays? I voted for him and would have loved it if he won, but I won't say that I didn't have some reservations about how hood a president he might have been.

I got one eye on Schultz....would love to see one or more others muddy the waters...I sorta wish Klobuchar were willing to split....I think she usually talks like she could be a party outsider
