I accidentally, or drunkenly Brick wall bit on a box of 5 Vegas cigars. When I saw the bid, realized I had hit the wrong cigars, I started looking them up. Based on the comments here, Sick I thought "Crap".

Luckily somebody sniped my bid right at the end. :D

Dodged a bullet there I think.

Depends on what cigar and what you bid. They are mostly smokeable, but they had one a while back that had an asbestos wrapper.

Which ones?
I like the 5 Vegas "A" and "AAA"
All I can say is, try 'em. You just might like 'em.

I have only had 2:

-5 Vegas Gold. Bland. What flavor their is tastes mostly like cardboard. Does hold up well to chomping and chewing, so if you need something to gnaw on that won't turn your stomach while playing poker or somewhere else you cant light-up, it works..

-5 Vegas A. Sorry, Mandoman but the one I had recently was horrible. The blurb on the Mothership says the Series A has "coffee-like notes" and that would be correct. Old Coffee. Bad Coffee. Burnt Coffee. Coffee that has been left simmering way too long. Smelled Like when the coffee pot has been on the too-hot warmer all day at work and it has evaporated all the liquid so the dry dregs are actually smoking and stinking up the office.

Years ago, I used to smoke a lot of A's in the PC size. I've heard they since took a dive, but they used to be a fairly tasty, well constructed one dollar cigar

None of the 5 Vegas are really "bad", but I don't smoke Padrons and AFs either (yet)
The cask strength has a uniquely strange flavor, although not a bad one.

Ahhhh. Bein the first one up at camp. Heatin' up black coffee over the still burning campfire. After a night of whiskey drinkin. Your head still spinnin. Dim blue light of the pre-dawn contrasts with the orange glow of the fire. The smell of the smoke and early morning dew. And the thick as tar first sip of that bubbling coal black brew...
Parodi Kings would be ideal in that moment.

A series of rough, harsh assaults to the senses.
Sometimes there's nothing better

Double + on the Parodis on a camp-out or fishing trip. They are great to throw in the backpack or tackle box and you need something that will stand up to the smoke from the campfire!

As far as coffee goes, the only thing worse than bad coffee is no coffee at all. If its there, I will drink it! I have a MUCH higher tolerance for bad coffee than bad cigars....

These were the 5 Vegas Robusto (5.0"x50), but it was a whole box. 5 cigars I don't like, ok. but 20 is another story entirely.

Assuming it's the Classic. Not a bad cigar, and depending on your storage capacity, might've been fine to bury a bunch for the future

Eh.....a few nights ago I was about to SCORE some Antiguedads for $15 a fiver (4 of them).......I've done it before, so I had high hopes.
Couple other guys were about to score them as well for $16.50/fiver................there were ten fivers in the lot.
With literally 8 seconds left, some dude from Las Vegas snipes 9 out of the 10 lots, and would have grabbed them all, but someone managed to hang on to one at $23.50.

https://www.cigarbid.com...iguedad-cigars/3237308/

It was a brutal sniping....

Got here too late for the “good ol days” but really enjoyed the first 2-3 years after I joined.

Like Joni Mitchell sang, “you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone”.

No need to be sorry. Thousands of cigars out there. Can't like them all. You don't like the A, OK, more for me.

I love the A!!! On a sweet cutie. (That's female, for those who are confused or questioning)
