If camacho's are too costly, cigars might not be for you...

If you’re smoking the “new” Camachos then I don’t think there’s anything that meets your parameters; however, for a taste of the “old” Camachos, try the JRE Aladino line. Julio Eiroa is the father of Christian, and that family has put out some great Corojo blends. The JRE stuff won’t be cheaper but imho, w-a-y better than the current Camachos. Of course ymmv.

Keep in mind, your palate will change over time so tread lightly on buying boxes...for now.

The Camacho Corojo is a $3 cigar.
You want a similar one cheaper? Opel is saying that might be difficult, since decent $2 cigars are getting difficult to find, especially in summer.

That said, go to the Mothership. You can search for cigars with a Corojo wrapper.
Paley's Vault Toros often go $10/fiver.....$2/ea.........good construction....decent flavor.......good yard gar.

Off the top of my head...Aganorsa Leaf, Aladino, Caldwell, Tatuaje, Warped...all have some very good corojo blends. Maybe try a JdN Dark Corojo if you can handle full body...those can be had for around 3per.

I’ve only had one corojo that was less than the Camacho, and that was the Cuba Libre...can be had for around 1per. I wouldn’t say they’re better than the Camacho, but they stay lit and put out big smoke clouds for a dollar each. If you try them maybe stick with the corona size and get more wrapper to filler ratio. Good luck with your search.

Edit: forgot about the Flores Gran Reserva Corojo...can be less expensive than Camacho at the "tenski place" when they go on sale...decent cigar IMO.
