#Dump Starbucks

Think I have been in 1-2 of their stores many years ago but won't be going again. Culture at the top leads to this.

Been in only a few times.
Coffee not that impressive, not worth the hype.

Sad that it's a culture that vilifies cops and paints criminals as victims.

Sad really. Cops deserve respect, the work they do is so difficult.

Will that dipchit be fired?
Will there be mandatory sensitivity training?
Will the cops be compensated?

Never cared for their coffee. We’re fortunate in that the Saurage Family who owns Community Coffee are locals. Years ago they opened a CC Coffeehouse which is a direct competitor and over time it has become a very prolific franchise. The coffee is much better in my opinion and they get a huge thumbs up for their non-partisanship

I had a coffee at Starbucks once and thought it was awful. Had a lot of Dunkin Donuts coffee and didn't think it was any good either. Haven't had any more DD in years since I stopping working that part time job where it was the only coffee available. People work at these places and people often make mistakes. It will happen from time to time and people that hear about it will get upset.

There it is. Charbucks. Been calling them that for years. Way way over roasted. Dare I say "burnt"?

As to my women, like my coffee, I like them strong and bitter. While it doesn't always start out like that, it always finishes that way.

Like I needed another reason not to go to a Starburnt. I don't care for their coffee or their politics/corporate culture.

I normally drink plain black coffee I roast. Out on the road, if I need a little caffeine and sugar, Strburnt makes bottled coffee drinks sold in quick stops that not too bad.

I grew up on Starbucks... Used to be better, but still consistently good... Always know what you'll get.... And vastly superior to Dunkin donuts

Starbucks is the best commonly available "chain" coffee in the East.
Dunks is mediocre at best. Hell, Cumberland Farms has better coffee and at only $.99 all sizes.

Best Iced Coffee is Honey Dew (not honey pot). Don't know why, because their hot coffee is just average.

I agree that a corporation shouldn't be defined by one schmuck employee.
But Starbucks does seem to have a culture to foster this type of attitude.

I hope the employee was fired.
I'm surprised the police officers obliged.

I think Starbucks culture is based on their bottom line. Does this help or hurt profits mentality. I don't agree with what I perceive their culture to be, but don't feel strongly enough to take my business elsewhere.

I tend not to base my purchasing decisions solely on a corporations viewpoints.

If I didn't like the coffee, then I'd gladly "boycott" with any perceived slight against my sensibilities.
If it's a favorite, then they'd have to do something quite egregious to turn me away.

I just don't have it in me to be an SJW.
I save my hypocrisy for these boards.

Yes, but will close all location for worker sensitivity training like they did when they asked the black kids who wouldn't buy anything to leave the store?

If you had told me years ago that folk would line up by the millions to buy overpriced burnt coffee, I'd never have believed you. But then again, I don't understand half of what millennials do. I'm sure the offended party was a high Estrogen beta male SJW sipping on a soy latte. I wonder if he ran home to his safe place after he wet his panties?

Those aren't coffee.... hell, a latte is barely "coffee" but I enjoy them on weekends.

in high school I used to run to the local starbucks stand in the grocery store for 5 shot espressos over lunch break.

I have my own opinions on SB due to their stance on the 2nd amendment totally separate from the fact of me being an officer.
I haven't purposely bought anything from them in years unless it was the only option at the time (I.E. stuck in a hospital with it being the only thing open)

Due to my own or coworkers experiences with them while in uniform, I REFUSE to step into one of there locations while I'm in uniform. This is not an isolated event by any means.

With that being said the only individual in my personal opinion that should feel unsafe around the police are criminals!

Not that I think it's a valid reason for police to not be in a starbucks... but I do have friends that are absolutely afraid of the police being involved in something.

I have had to run over to a conflict at 3am because a friend was convinced her fiancee was going to get shot by the police (even though he was in the right), simply because they were called by a cab driver (who was in the wrong).

Just because you don't think they should feel unsafe really doesn't have any impact on how they actually feel.

Only people who really really really want to focus on how "beta" those other guys must be... and how they must wear panties.... and how much estrogen they really must have.. (huh... almost sounds like someone trying to rationalize getting head from a dude).

Sorry to say criminals are not the only ones who should fear police. I wish that was the case but the sky in my world is blue.

That’s not to say all cops are bad. But they are not all good either. They all have power though.

You know who doesn't get harassed by the cops?

People who listen to them and do what they say.

In my experience I find the prevailing “alpha” behavior to be acting like the most outrageously provocative juvenile in the room that you mock for being juvenile. Sprinkle in some latent homophobia and self pleasure jokes and you sir have the “alpha”.
