Good ones... i think I'm allowed to grow now... and after 8.29 employers supposedly can't hassle employess for having THC in their systems... I'm sure there's a loophole there somewhere tho... Mellow

Made it in one piece to the track in Michigan. Zero hiccups, but the no AC kinda sucked. Smoked a cigar on the way up. Never smoke in my truck cause I hate the smell getting stuck in there but figured with the windows down and 55mph I'd be good.

Smokers are reportedly en route to the track. Dunno if all the equipment is coming or not. I wanna get em on the heat by 10p but times running down.

Got a new deep freezer... got it for $100 less than retail. Display model. The Gibson I have is damn near 30 years old and still works like a champ. It uses R12... I think that sh*t was outlawed or something.

Anywho... fridgidaire... 8.7 cubic feet. It's about another 1.5 cubic feet, as I believe the older one is 7.2 or so.

Dude showed up with smokers and a chimney lighter right after that post. But he did forget thermometers. Luckily i got one off Amazon in case they didnt come.

I rubbed all the butts while waiting, and threw em back in the coolers.

Lit the smokers, and put the butts on at 2100. Gives me almost 20 hours till serving time. Figure they'll be done around 2-3p and can sit in coolers till 5-6 when we serve it up.

Victor, poison ivy or poison oak would be great choices. You could tell people you don't like that its good for the skin to rub a leaf on it.

Just coming up on the stall.

Meats reading 160, smoker temps 210-230

No wrap, I got plenty of time. Gotta sleep eventually, stall time probably best time. Smoker temps have been stable since the wind died down. Kept chasing temps for a few hours.

Need to run to town in the morning for some grilling gloves.

That's a very stable foundation Frank.

And to be Frank, if I may, this is an area where I am very liberal and in total agreement with you.
I believe everyone should be free to be what they are, whatever that may be.

I have no idea what it's like to have an "unconventional" sexual preference, or question your sexuality.
It's never been a question for me. I am hetero to the core.
But I have no right to place judgement on someone else for being different.

And if you truly believe in freedom, I think you eventually have to come to that conclusion.
And accept it. Not necessarily embrace it. Just accept it.

Going to bed was a mistake. Dropped temps to 180 and meats still at 160.

And I accidentally locked the charcoal in the barn can't get to it for another hour.

Still no worries, brother. Pork shoulder is like honey badger... it don't give a damn. Wrap in foil and bump the temps up to 250. You'll be done in time.

Stoked the coals and added another 2 bags of charcoal across the smokers. Temps sitting at 250 now. Gonna run to town for some grilling gloves so I can pull em off to wrap. Dudes forgot the drink coolers for the lemonade, so gotta buy couple of those too. Track had two 2g drink dispensers I'm gonna use as well. Just got done washing them.

Wasn't too worried about the meats, but couldn't get more charcoal on till almost 8am. Opened all the vents and stirred the coals to drop ash and got back to 200 by the time the track opened and I got the charcoal.

I have no issues whatsoever...like you, I have no idea what it must be like to not feel the way I feel about my sexuality, but I have absolutely no intention of making it even more difficult for those who either struggle or don't struggle yet are much different than the majority.

But I do enjoy making light of the words "they/them" category that has become a thing. I'm happy to use that if one wants me to, but I can't help being amused. It's more about me than them.

cuz I'm good wif words...

Yeah, but he keeps rubbing those butts, even when they’re on people’s plates. Kinda creepy. But cool...

Went to home depot at 0600 when they opened and got 2 gallons of stain for the new section of fence, some brushes and drop cloth. Been at it since I got back, so about 0615 to 1030. It's getting hot, so the rest can wait until next Saturday. I got just about halfway done.

The gate is finished, so everything the neighbors can see is done.

So, people are people. I could care less about their body orientation and their sexual orientation. That's their business, not mine. There is one point that I have difficulty making sense of. A pre operation transgendered man who becomes a post operation transgendered woman. Then her sexual orientation is women. Same thing for a pre operation transgendered woman who becomes a post operation transgendered man. Then his sexual orientation is men.
