Speaking of steals, I went to an estate sale yesterday and scored a Weber three burner grill almost new for $40. Looks like they go for over $400 retail. Going to take it up to the mountain house.

Great grill. You got a hell of a deal.

Already 80 and very humid. Sweating just letting the chickens out.

Time to turn on the AC and go to bed.

The heat is on. Hot and humid this morning, came in for lunch soaked in sweat. A/C went on about 8:30 AM. Stay cool if you are out there.

Not sleeping today.

Tranny dude called, said they've been driving the truck a bunch and can't get it to act up.

Asked if I wanted to do the seal and pickup soon or let them keep it till next week. I said keep it. Hopefully it trips up for them...

Poor danm... stuck in a marriage where the only time he can get a tranny's stick in his hand is when his truck is acting up.

Only 109 today and I can definitely tell the difference between 109 and 115 yesterday.

Clouded up this afternoon and it poured for a while then showers. Heavy rain knocked out the phone and internet for several minutes and TV was off and on. More rain supposedly coming and we really need it. Triple digits predicted for the weekend. Did some mowing in the morning and now the lawn mower won't start.

Yup. But then it persisted and got worse after dropping off the trailer and driving to work and back.

Happens when fluid level gets low, has a leak. But I had a check engine light, and he wants to get the light triggered before doing any repairs. Told him I can't get the light to reliably go on. Once it came on with just a load of firewood in the bed, and twice while towing the camper after about 150 miles. But when it goes on, I'm locked in first gear so I can't exactly hook up the trailer until it comes on and then drive anywhere, gotta clear the code.

Half the town is without power. Last 3 miles of the drive home were a PITA with all the traffic lights out.

Got power at home though!

You ever get sunburned on the inside of your nose?

I know if you stand on the bow of a boat all day in board shorts the reflection of the sun off of the water can scorch your ball sack...

I haven't fished in shorts in the summer in decades. Long pants, hooded, long sleeved shirt, hat...always. haven't found satisfactory gloves yet...so back of my hands and nose are most at risk. I do religiously use sunscreen on those, however

I imagine their possum meat is probably delivered by trucks... But horse delivery might still be a thing in some areas...

Slept poorly and gave up after 4 hours of dozing on and off.

Tomorrow should be better.
