Just started thundering and lightning here - another hot and muggy one tomorrow.

So the climate has changed a bit in Orlando.

Onfire thinks weak midgets are trying to smother him.

You think it's a joke Tony, but you should see 'em!
Hopping off the balcony or stairs any chance they get.
With that hot wet blanket! Don't know how they got in?
But thankful they're gone for a few days...

Nobody else has experienced this?
Am I crazy???

A/C on first thing this AM - hazy out there, just a sprinkle last night. Excessive heat warning here today - again.

Nice n cool here.

Thunderstorms in the forecast but radar looks like the clouds are moving along over the lake, probably won't see much more than a sprinkle.

Was planning on working OT tonight but were pretty slow. Was a very long night of doing nothing. Dozed off for a bit too. Probably won't be needed tonight. Winds yesterday took out a tree, so might go chop that up after I nap.

Thinking of heading to the dealership to look at a truck while there's no salesmen. See if it's worth trying to trade mine towards. Don't want a used plow truck, so gotta climb under and check for wiring and plow mount marks

Greetings from Cape Cod.
arrived yesterday, earlier than the lease allows.
$20 dollahs and an "obrigado" bought the complicity of the Brazillian cleaners as we walked in, dropped off our stuff, and snagged the parking pass.

was upper 90's on da beach but the Aruba-like breeze and an umbrella made it very comfortable.
Rinse and repeat today, just waiting on daughter, sil, and the Magnificent granddaughter to show up.

chance of rain late Monday and early Tuesday. Better chance of fiddlers Monday and Tuesday.

13 days to go...

20,000 people without power. 70 mph winds, gusts up to 90. A few different friends without power. Time to rob them.

Eh, of they can't spring for a decent backup generator, prolly not worth robbing. At least that's what I hope my neighbors think. Generator money would buy a lot of cigars

Yup.

Just put 3 Rubbermaid totes in the attic to collect water dripping down.

Guess I can't go look at that truck, gotta buy a new roof somehow.

Hope there aren't any smoking restrictions (...well, other than no smoking inside the house...).

Who'll stop the rain?

Maybe get your tie-dyed t-shirt out and do the Woodstock "No rain" chant?

Or maybe not.

Unknown, but I suspect 20. There was a pack of shingles in the shed when I bought the house and they had a 1998 date code. No warranty/life info on the pack, and it's long gone now.

I filed a claim with insurance just now. Dunno if it'll be covered though. We had some big storms this year but reading through my policy it looks like they'll cover interior damage but roofs only if there's a big hole in it.

Guess I'll find out in the next day or five. Can't wait to get dropped by the insurance company for making a claim and then paying higher premiums forever because I used the insurance as was intended. I spose my rates are going up even when it's denied.

Hire a lawyer who will take on your dispute on a contingency. You lose nothing. The lawyer gets paid by your insurer should you settle or win.
