sounds like an opportune time to go get some fluid from the tranny dude, danm...

congrats to rfenst for raising a great little girl into a great grown woman...

I got my own bottle of tranny fluid, but it's still full even after the 600 miles I drove last week.

Been shifting fine since the last visit. They reflashed the controller and recalibrated the actuators and solenoids

Still needs a new seal around the slip yoke where the shaft goes into the trannys rear end but that's gonna wait till I'm sure the rest is good.

Hey, folks. Good morning.

Heading down to Boca Raton this evening for my daughter's college graduation tomorrow. Looking forward to some great restaurants. Really proud of her. She already started a real job. Last month, she even made her car payment and health insurance co-pay with her own money! I know she will need $$ help from time to time. But, can you say: OFF THE MONTHLY DOLE!?

congrats to you both

Got another roof quote in the mail today.

$17,600.....

And that was from a small 2 man outfit that uses a crew of home depot parking lot jobbers... I thought for sure they'd be the cheapest of the three.

Got one more guy coming out in the next week or two. I got a quote from him when I was rebuilding the house in 2010, but he said the roof had at least 10-15 years left and didn't recommend replacing. He was $10,800 9 years ago. I'm hoping to see sub $13k on his.. did say they're booked through the end of November though.

Fish just hit 145. Cooked way too fast. Had all the dampers closed when I started, smoker temp reading 200. But it heated up to 250 as the sun came over the house and hit the smoker. Breeze picked up as well, pushing the temps up. Only spent 2 hours on the heat. Wanted 4.

Oh well. Pulling off in a minute. Finishing off my cigar first. Still got an hour and a half till dinnertime. The salmon can be cold, but the tater cakes gotta be hot off the skillet.

Belly was getting a little showy... So all last week, Strawberry and spinach smoothie for breakfast, no lunch, early dinner...

Felt like it did some good... Ate fast food and honey comb cereal all weekend and feel like crap again...
