That was a remarkable turn of events. Amazing job, Talib!

Wouldn't have guessed one person could so adeptly take the conversation away from Trump's bullying interference.

Her little martyr bit managed to kill any shot at support or sympathy, or at least a bit of understanding from those not behind her already.....poor poor pitiful me...way to f up your owned news cycle

I don't know if I'd call it a "martyr bit"... but she didn't really take advantage of favorable winds.

I don't know what her initial visit was pushed as... she should have led with the ailing grandmother part... I understand not wanting to go now that it's become a "thing" but this makes her look like she doesn't care enough about her relative to go through a "thing" to see her.

But... in the end it doesn't excuse what trumpenfurher did. I don't care if she decided to mail her relative a box of anthrax afterwards... he still chose to support a foreign country over our congressperson.

There’s a good article in the Atlantic that lays it out pretty well. Calls her what she is and calls out trumps role as well.

There is no mutual exclusivity here.

is BDS worse than repeated expansive settlements by Israelis in occupied territory, in violation of international treaty and multitudes of other violations of 1967 peace treaty?

or disproportionate use of force in response to Palestinian attacks on Israeli soldiers, where dozens-hundreds of civilians are killed by rocket fire into populated areas after one or two Israeli soldiers are injured or killed in skirmishes with Palestinians?

David Frums. It’s an opinion piece.
