wow. That is 😎. Just being able to have that thought, let alone the conversation.

If we could get a few more down here, between me, Burner, Madspackler (where has he been, anyway), CigarLady, and a couple more we’d have quite the Southern CBid enclave.

I like Mobile and Baldwin County. Not sure how the fishing is, but no reason to think it’s poor. More hurricanes, though. Of course, we could do a Hurricane Herf in Birmingham....

HOBBS, New Mexico

The Hobbs PD is defending the way they handled the situation, saying that they interviewed both the accuser and the accused, but did not make an arrest because THEY didn't witness the alleged groping.

Think WHAT ABOUT the SECURITY CAMERA FOOTAGE ?
Doesn't THAT count for anything ?

At this point it is merely a conversation to see what my options are, and what my pension checks would look like based on when I decide to go. Ideally I should clock 3 more years but I am very tired of being below critical staffing levels with a team full of problem children.

Unless I get a much better assignment between now and the beginning of next year...

Same issues I'm constantly dealing with.

Very sorry to hear this Corey. Went through this last year with my FIL. Everyone felt it was better having him home with family than in the hospital. Pray

Agree with Rick. Sending good thoughts, Corey.

My father spent about 4 weeks of his last couple months in a rehab-ish/hospice-y place.

The additional (limited) medical care may have bought a few days or even a couple weeks, but I think all of us agree that if he'd been at home, we'd have all been better off...even if it would have meant a few less days overall; those days could have been much higher quality for him and us

Chicken coop cleaned, caught all of them and clipped wings. One of the hens turned into a rooster (not really, but paid extra for all pullets. Supplier screwed up) and got my calf with her claw. (S)he got a strong kick and didn't try it again.

Found my favorite leatherman I lost around the time I started working in my current unit, about 8-9 years ago. Was sticking out of the dirt out back in the woods. All stainless so only a little rust. Gonna take it apart and clean it up. Super stoked on that.

Sorry to hear Corey, my prayers still going out for you and your family...Pray

Went through the Hospice/Home care situation with my MIL several years ago...we took her home to the home she lived in for 65 years, and she spent her final days surrounded by friends and family in a familiar place,...only my opinion here, but I think we made the right choice....she did seem more calm and relaxed than she was at the hospital...Hope you feel the same way upon reflection....Pray Pray

That it did . . . Like a HR into McCovey Cove !

And now that I know you were trying to make a joke, and not just being a schitt . . . I apologize for calling you a turd.

don't apologize too hard. it was a political joke.

But I don't get the HR McCovey Cove .... ok I looked up the McCovey Cove reference. I'm assuming HR means homerun.
