The thought of dirtying a fork, only to put it away and need a knife is counter intuitive.

Must have been paid off by the Big Fork lobby.

Hondas will definitely last longer than that. I have had about 10-12 of them (including four right now). Wife liked our CR-V, but the lease deal we got on the Pilot was so great we couldn't resist the upgrade. Anyhow, we are a "Honda family."

Agreed. My wife's had 180K and never been in the shop for any problem except one door regulator recall. Still going strong when she traded it. Older brother has a 1998 with something like 260K on it. Engine is still ticking along with no major problems.

I liked mine just fine but wanted the newer safety features like back up camera, blind spot assist, etc.

^ me too. Not sure if synthetic oils were used much in 1994, but my Honda came with it in 2017, and since the price of motor oil increased so much, synthetic is now more comparable in price.

Think I hurt my back watching about 5 football games yesterday. Couch potato again today after a 5 mile fast walk and 20 mile Vette exercise.

Happy Sunday all.

The thought of dirty forking always seems intuitive to me.

Don’t know why it didn’t occur to me earlier.
But I guess that woulda been premature...

Happy I've pulled back on the NFL. Three years ago,if the cowboys, vikings and ravens all won on the same week, it would ruin mine.

Still paying remote attention to the Chiefs. Kansas City, Arsenal, neither of them play defense.

Good luck on you dirty forkin, dan.

the Pats have given up 3 points and some first downs through 3 quarters to the Steelers.
It's embarrassing.
It's also 30-3

So.... 3rd batch of beer has been put in the fermenter... I have some real hope for this batch.

I spent a bit of time chatting with the dude at the homebrew supply shop, and he figured I simply wasn't getting the extraction efficiency we had anticipated from the recipe... (the second batch was about 4.5% alcohol, when the recipe was expecting it to be 5.5%, and fermentation was pretty much complete).

So.... to combat that, we increased the amount of grains from about 12lb to about 19lb....

We.....mayyyyyy have been a little overkill here.

I also may have improved my extraction capabilities from batch 2 to batch 3..... because the malt came out way thicker this time. I did a quick estimate, and if I ferment down to the level I did in batch 2, I may be kicking out a beer that's about 6.75-7% alcohol.... yummy.... just in time for Fall!

How many gallons or ounces do you net from a batch?
