Yes. My remarks are of a situation where a homeless person is physically assaulting your wife and dog. The appropriate action is to "beat them off" or "fight them off" or "beat them up" or whatever term you want to use.

You then suggest I "beat you off" and then you state you want my wife to "beat you off". Neither of these comments included any scenario in which the term "beat off" could involve physical violence.
