I was hoping further clarification might provide for a softening, like izon was looking for but nope. It just kept solidifying the stupidity.

Yea but only after I showed you my boobs.

And to be clear if I heard anyone saying the NRA or any other group has done more damage than the terrorists did on 911, particularly on 911, I would find them equally idiotic. It's not about the politics or which side....

this echoes the mindset of the House Un-American Activities Committee and the rise of McCarthyism in the 50's that unleashed intolerance of political opposition into a witch hunt that destroyed many innocent Americans and is a dark stain on our history...

totally contradicts one of America's touchstones ... this nation's motto: E Pluribus Unum

guess "pluribus" has been redefined to mean "many like-minded" in the minds of some...

but we still love and respect your right to believe what you believe, wish you no ill will, or demand that you take a one way trip anywhere...

Well one thing is clear.... the extreme left (defined as past and current leadership) are unamerican, and equal to or worse than the terrorists that took down the WTC.

I don't know but if I really thought someone was unamerican and worse than the terrorists that did the WTC I think I would be compelled to take action.

Its hopefully just stupid and harmless hyperboly or rhetoric. Anyone who has their head down, blinders on and followed their politics so far down this this path needs help. They are lost..

but they have become emboldened and are expressing their limited views more publicly due to the current leadership in the WH and his propaganda machine...

That is incorrect. Reagan, as president elect, said that within seconds after being sworn in, he’d nuke Iran. They believed him and released the hostages just prior to the swearing in.

Do you have a source for this because I looked briefly and didn't see anything like this. I did see one place say we freed up almost 8 billion in assets in exchange, and another article saying that Reagan freed up another half-billion. I'm not sure if this was part of the initial 8 billion or not.

There have been actions taken by people on both sides of the aisle that could be considered damaging to America depending on your political beliefs. To the best of my knowledge, the actions taken by our politicians were done so in the hopes of making America a better country. The actions taken by the terrorists on 9/11 were done so to kill as many Americans as possible, and hopefully lead to the destruction of our country in the process. Is it really fair to compare the two? Maybe it is...guess I just don't understand why someone would want to do it.

I've always thought of it as a real weakness.

I mean.... murderers are bad. If I saw someone in the process of murdering people and I didn't try to do something to stop it.... I don't know if I could live with myself after that.

Someone doing something worse than murdering people.... and he's not even trying to stop it.

I wouldn't be able to live with myself after that level of cowardice

I was in Thailand, playing Ping-Pong in Ding Dang. I was in a real high-stakes game in some opium den. Turned out the guys I was playing aren't the kind of guys who like to lose. After I beat them... they beat me. Worked me over pretty good. And this is hard to say... but they held me down... and they shoved a ping pong paddle up my ass. It's never been the same. I'm damaged goods. Wasn't the handle. I've been ****ting pancakes ever since.

That he said you're face is a Fudge pancake?
I would think he might wanna apologize to you.

Or your face might wanna apologize to the public.

Or maybe you could display it as a protest.
Maybe along the sidelines at a football game...

Had one last thought on the content of this thread -

There were those who were incensed at the thought of certain Democratic leaders being compared to terrorists.
Yet, not so long ago in a previous thread, Trump and his supporters were labelled as Nazis.

Shouldn't this be met with the same type of outrage?

Isn't this just the other side of the same coin???

So answer me this IZON, Trump said there were good people on the white supremicist side. His supporters backed him on this. What Democrat said there were good people on the terrorist side? Nor do I remember any Democratic supporters stating anything similar. If you think there is an equivalency please provide some input to substantiate your position.

Unless of course Carnack the magnificent is speaking to you from the great beyond. Personally I would find it way more interesting if Andy wasn't stuck in the box and goofing on Elvis and you from Pokipsie. I'll bring the milk and cookies.

That was NOT the “white supremacist” side. Only some were. It was a group protesting the removal of statues.
Just like the protesters of the straight white parade were not all terrorists. Only some were.

You know that’s not in your diet. Nor mine. (Cookies anyway)
I’d be happy to join you for a drink and a smoke though.

Good people don't march with white supremicists or ANTIFA, no matter what the premis of the march. It is a shame that white supremicists, neo Nazi's, and ANTIFA hijacked the protest for their own purposes. Would you march alongside of people shouting anti Semitic slogans? No, you would leave or confront them. Because you are good people. Would I march alongside ANTIFA thugs? No, I would leave or confront them. I would like to think I am a good person, but I leave that up to others to decide.

If the dems and their leadership have a subset of their supporters that are terrorists and they are hesitant to denounce terrorism out of fear of losing supporters or any other cutesy reason then I agree with izons scenario and there should be equal outrage.

I just haven’t seen terrorists supporting the party or the leaders like I have the white nationalists. That’s very different than the all trump supporters are white nationalists crap. I’m not saying that and going down that path is disingenuous.

So no, I don’t se the equivalence. It’s a good try though. It just might be possible that the op is stupid and disrespectful towards those that died on 911. I’m not sure why much time would be spent to normalize it or justify it.

And if you do happen to find an equivalence it wouldn’t help the OP. It would shame the equivalence. Both bad rather than making the OP ok.

The OP is among the stupidest posts ever and it is a shame there are idiots that think that way.

My dad and my in-laws are Trump supporters and are not white nationalists or racists.

If you take a few moments to look at various white nationalists propaganda they do support trump and much of his policy. Some of the language is very similar. Some of the white nationalists rhetoric used to be taboo but has now been mainstreamed intentionally or not. I dunno.

One is a subset of the other. Not vice versa. And none of that changes the stupidity and disrespectful OP. Likely over 50% of those that died on 911 were dems (I don’t know... but the majority were in NYC).
