Purchased a fiver here back in late March for $10, decided to fire one up on this warm dry evening.
Perfecto with closed foot....rg maybe 54/56?
Born Dead said they suqed

Perfect construction, burn and draw.
Flavors primarily cedar, sweet cream and some bread-like flavor on retrohale.
No transitions or any of that fancy stuff.
For a cigar of this size, it can get hot a bit too easily imo, and then gets a bit acrid.......which could make them suq.
Luckily I figured that out right away, purged regularly for a half inch or so, and ended up with an enjoyable yard gar, which should be sipped.
Worth $2 in my books....

The irony is I used to really like the old school HC as a cheap budget smoke. Maduro, IIRC. Been a long time, but used to get one at a B&M once in a while. Pete is putting them out, so unles he went AWOL, DP is making them. Then again, I loved the original La Aroma de Cuba. Whoever owned it had DP re-blend it. May be the only cigar I've ever smoked that I thought he made worse. The original was inexpensive and uncomplicated, but a good, medium, reliable smoke. Sven R shared my fondness for the original. Don't know how he feels about the re-do LAdC. It's enough to keep my interest in the newer HCs low, however.

Hmmm....maybe I shoulda held onto them instead of tossing the remaining 7 sticks in the trash. But I needed the room. Oh well.

Unless they TOTALLY suck, don't throw them out, either age them or, if you need the space, chop them up and toss the bits into your "free pipe tobacco" container instead of your humidor!

yes, the H.C. 2018 S.E. is decent for two bucks.

Smoked 2 of the new Henry Clay War Hawk Connecticut Robusto (5" x 54). Very nice crisp near medium flavor.
