Well I woke up Sunday morning with no way to hold my head that didn’t hurt
And the beer I had for breakfast wasn’t bad so I had one more for dessert.

Last day in the Finger Lakes area. The weather has been great and the scenery beautiful wherever we go. Headed back to Buffalo this evening and Arizona tomorrow morning.

We did bring coffee, wife just told me she hasn't felt like making it.

So, made coffee and got campfire going. Kid activity in an hour with the naturalists. Making a bird house or something.

I wanted to go fishing but boy is completely against it now. Got night crawlers, wax worms and butter worms guess I'll dump the night crawlers in the woods and the maggots in the lake.

Rained hard for a couple hours, had to go inside the camper and watch a movie. So humid gotta run the AC to dry out the air, but too cold to be running AC so had AC and heater running. Roughing it out here.

Check out time is 5p on Sunday but everyone left already. Can only see one other camper from our site right now. Nice n quiet.

Rain stopped, so I took a shower and got the fire going again.

Wife and kids, along with my sister in law and niece, did a sleepover at the in laws last night... So I did what any decent man would... Smoked pot in bed and fell asleep watching cartoons and eating fast food...

Woke up late this morning, smoked some more pot in bed... baked a bundt cake with a cinnamon/spice blend I like to work with... I like the flavors and the addition of buttermilk kept it moist but I didn't incorporate green apple, which I wish I had...

Made a cream cheese butter cream frosting and incorporated shredded green apple into it, which immediately curdled the cream cheese or the butter or both.... Got a cottage cheese like substance that promptly met the hefty...

Round 2, stuck with cream cheese butter cream... It was the last of my cream cheese and I didn't wanna risk it....

Took my last tart green apple, peeled and shredded it... Added some blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries to the Apple, a little sugar, simmered for a while, blended and strained, back to the burner to get a syrup consistency....

I was getting ready to eat it when I got distracted, started the bbq, scoured the fridge and freezer, found the red bean chili from Friday and a 4 pack of evergood pineapple sausages....

Devoured that in the rocking chair out back and decided to light the cigar I bought yesterday, la Promesa Lancero by my father... I love these... Probably my favorite Lancero as of now...

I can smell the cake from inside but its 70ish with a light breeze outside and I'm in a rocking chair... Pretty sure I couldn't stand up if I wanted to....

If someone brings me my bubbler, I'll pay them in pot and cake...

That's what i thought, but she was wearing the goofy park ranger uniform. Was prolly in everyone's best interest anyhow.

Oh well. Made a bird feeder.

Restuffing myself with chili and sausages and corn bread...

Got a bunch of 8' cherry wood poles cut into 12"-18" pieces with the compound miter saw.... Gonna stand em upright, nail em to a small strip of wood to keep them aligned and then use it as the border to my aquaponics pond...

Back to back nights with 7+ hours of sleep for the first time in six months has my body clock confused.

Not sleepy at 9:30 on a Sunday night is odd.

Only 6 camper's here tonight. If not for the bugs the silence would be deafening. It's so dark, no light except my and one other campfire.

I love it.

Whenever I'm in a position to move, I want this. No visible neighbors, can't hear any road traffic, occasionally hear a train horn, and zero added light at night.

I'm early but welcome back to Monday fellas.

Wife's hounding me to go to bed. Doesn't like me sitting by the campfire alone. Says I look like a serial killer.

Up at 4:30 to catch a early flight into Chicago. I seem to have caught a head cold which is going to make the flight interesting. I usually suffer from extremely severe headaches when descending. Thought we had it under control with nasal spray and decongestant tablets but with a cold this might be my worst nightmare.

Danm, you are going to need more campers to be a good serial killer.
