So I bout chit my pants.

Was sitting on a bucket by the fire, heard a couple leaves crunching and twigs snapping, so I called out "cmere moo" thinking my dog was outside and not sure if she could venture out in the woods.

Instead of an enthusiastic mutt, I heard a snort. Pulled my flashlight from my pocket and turned around face to face with a full grown TRANNY deer. Jumped up and ran, as did she/HE - thankfully in the opposite direction.

Back to the garage and my recliner.

Smells great in here.

Started with some lighter aromatics in a cob, then added in the pot of jambalaya. Topping it with a CC HUpmann coronas major. Plan to follow that with some Lakeland blends and finish with English.

Some bourbon and several beers as well.

You cook, work a chit-ton of hours, fell trees, plan, pack drive (breakdown) set up camp, and then repeT.

Being your son is now in school, what value does your wife bring to the family? Other than hormone-driven angry rants?

Cleans the house and feeds the dogs. That's what she tells me about most of the time. Or at least complains that I don't do those things more often.

She won't eat my food tho, so she says I can't argue that I cook since I'm the only one that eats it.

She's also drunkenly admitted to planning on never working and wanting to be a trophy wife. Those aspirations fell through, but she still don't work. She's a very good looking woman, and I've encouraged her to chase her dreams while it lasts, but we're still here.

Just added the rice to the pot.

Stripped n cleaned the shrimps. The cat wouldn't leave me alone for that part.

Once the rice soaks up the juices, heat goes off, shrimps go in, and I probably fall asleep. Sposeda stay up but too much work and too much beer, can't fight it.

Welll...... I don't feel any better. Then again, I don't have to.

Did you marry her because she was trophy caliber?

You should take her to ne Wisconsin for camping. I'll walk up as if I don't know you and start asking her questions guaranteed to make you pull muscles in your face trying not to laugh.

Married her because I was working on our house and she said I had to stop to go to the county clerks office and sign a marriage certificate. So I did. And then got back to work.

She didn't change her name till she got pregnant. Figured she was saving that for an easy out till she got her kid. Also made sure she had zero income for enough time to qualify for alimony if we'd split. She's not dumb.

sinus infection has been absolutely kicking my butt the last few days... I've barely eaten, haven't seen the kids hardly at all, slept most of saturday and most of yesterday... fell back asleep at 8 last night... woke up at midnight and lied/laid/layethed there until 2... now I'm out in the garage watching mma news... think I'm on the mend, but definitely the most sick I've been in years...

Damn critters are getting more diverse and numerous around here. Neighbor spotted a bobcat wandering through our back yards mid day on Saturday. Damn deer are topping my carrots and pulling some out in the process. Scat all over the yards.

I know it sucks to lose veggies to critters, but at least they paid you back with an improvised jazz performance...

They are a SORRYass team right now.
I WILL be VERY SORRY if they lose to the Phallus Sowboys this Sunday night.

Couldn't find sleep today. Laid in bed for a couple hours but eventually gave up.

Back to work tonight for a 16 hour shift. Home around noon, then mandatory annual day shift Wednesday to get signed off on competencies, then back for another 7 12 hr nights on Thursday.

Gonna be a long tired week.
