Daughter's home keeping me company today... Said her throat hurt but I think she just wanted a day off... I get it... Life's tough when you're 5 and sometimes you just need your dad and cartoons...

I'm definitely cartoonish... Make funny noises when i get poked in the belly and everything...

Folks have been on vacation pretty much since the week my dad retired... Their house is around the block from me, so I've been taking care of things for them... I never want to own a house with a pool...

Pretty sure my brother wants me to buy my folks house when they move on, but I just can't do a pool... Especially one from the 70's that someone decided to paint... Painted pools void home warranties out here...

I'm quitting drinking until after my surgery. Third day without beer and it feels like a hostage crisis. The worst part is what if I croak on the table and it is all for nothing.

(I hope yours is a false positive and all is well)

Not worth it TW. Too high a risk you'll die without having had a drink recently.

That would be bad. But I'm drinking too much lately. Not a lot on any one night. Just a few beers too frequently. Damn the dog park bar.

But surgery is only 3.5 weeks away and I do need to get a little healthier.

Sh1t... if you aren't healthy by now, drinking solidly for the next 3.5 weeks won't do any additional harm. :)

I came to a revelation recently...I drink too much, I'm fat, I chew and smoke cigars..but that is just who I am and screw the world if they don't like it. haha
