the one of him shooting, stabbing, and burning alive news outlets and political foes...

when I read about it, I thought it was stupid and obviously in poor taste...

but after watching it, it's pretty clear the movie it was taken from should've caused the outrage, not this remake.... it's childish at worst...

I actually posted the manifesto of the el paso shooter here... took a lot of grief from some people, including you... you wouldn't read it, but gladly accepted a lie about it and now pass it along as fact...

"My opinions on automation, immigration, and the rest
predate Trump and his campaign for president. I putting this here because some people will blame the
President or certain presidential candidates for the attack. This is not the case. I know that the media
will probably call me a white supremacist anyway and blame Trump’s rhetoric. The media is infamous
for fake news. Their reaction to this attack will likely just confirm that."

ok...he says he was not motivated by Trump...

why not do his deed some other place, if he was sincerely trying to distance himself from Trump, instead of the one place where Trump visited and has focused all his anti-immigration rhetoric...

so the media - who has no inside information on this man's motivations - have the real explanation...

and the young man himself - who has the only actual insight into his motivations - is fake news...

maybe you're right...

but the choice of El Paso at that time after Trump had just visited, voicing his anti-immigration rhetoric, seems curious...

the shooter drove how many hundreds of miles, passing up many other target rich environments...

I know I won't change your mind that Trump's incendiary rhetoric is a made up story, like his "beat the crap outta him" comments on video at his rallies are fakes...

and Cesar Soyoc, the mail-bomber...

and "spies and traitors...we used to take care of them, when we were smart"...

You don't have to change my mind... I think the rhetoric coming from the white house is divisive and exactly 50% of the problem...

I've thought about this some more...although Trump can't legally be held responsible in any of the crimes that the perpetrator admits was motivated by Trump's rhetoric, he can be faulted to some degree...

there is a moral responsibility in a civil society to not injure someone intentionally...

a responsible person with good intentions would stop engaging in the kind of behavior that motivates someone to commit crimes, when it is pointed out to him...

Trump has the most powerful voice in all of our civil society, and has a responsibility to avoid endangering people he has sworn to protect...

it is well known that some elements of our society are prone to acts of violence...and Trump has been told that... some have even accused Trump of being a hero to some members of those elements...

a responsible person with good intentions...

You're right.
Although it's strange you never blame Obama for all the cop killings and hatred toward LEOs.

Delta, can't we agree that these shooters are just mentally deranged and looking for an excuse, ANY excuse, to do what they do?

Or do you blame Jodie Foster for the Reagan shooting?

most of the hatred in America has existed for centuries...current extremists didn't come into existence in a vacuum...they evolved from more moderate like minded people who share their beliefs...

of course I disavow Antifa and their violent actions towards Nazis and White supremacists...but of the two, I think the Nazis proved they were a scourge during the 20th century and continue to pose a greater danger to civilized society around the world...Antifa evolved from freedom loving folks who fought the Nazis...

and yes, most deranged criminals have homicidal tendencies, and it is difficult to predict what triggers them to commit atrocities...but if you occupy the bully pulpit you must understand that what you say is broadcast and repeated...there have been more than a dozen confirmed violent criminals who said they were motivated by Trump...

I do think Obama bore some responsibility for the cultural conflict between blacks and American law enforcement...he should not have become POTUS and tried to achieve equitable treatment for all....but that conflict existed for centuries before he was born...and it has resulted in violence throughout our history; all the race riots we've suffered throughout this nation's history resulted from this conflict between the disparity in treatment of minorities vs. the majority population...LEO's and people who believed they were oppressed seemed agitated during Obama's term...and killing of LEO's was a disastrous consequence

if some of the shootings/killings of blacks by cops in their own homes had happened during Obama's term, I think the reaction from the black community would've been different...they no longer feel empowered because of who sits in the Oval Office...so, from that perspective Obama's presence gave voice to the voiceless...

just as Trump's presence in the WH gives voice to white extremists...

not sure why, but Trump's openly anti-law enforcement rhetoric hasn't resulted in more attacks on cops...

I know you're being honest here.
And that makes me sad.

Funny how you dissect everything Trump says and you put your own spin on it, but when Obama blatantly blames cops and slave owners from 200 years ago for the BLM hateful actions, and you call it "trying to achieve equitable treatment for all" then I'm sorry. I just can't take you seriously.

As for extremists, you can't say "I know they're crazy and will kill no matter what, but I blame Trumps words" in the same breath. Or same post. Or same decade.

I admit my partisan bias. When I switched from "un-enrolled" (MA term for independent voter) to "R", I knew I would lean right on most issues. Yet I admit Trump is a buffoon on the twitter machine.
You can't even bring yourself to admit that Obama was just as divisive (albeit without the MSM to remind you and point it out 24/7). Sure, he's eloquent when he speaks. but doesn't that make it even worse when he says stupid things. Because it's obvious he knows what he's saying.

Fake News is trump's catch phrase for anything that he feels is a threat to his administration.
So it does sound like he is at least a trump follower and like minded. fog

that's not what I said, and putting quotes there is a dishonest ploy, in order to bolster your argument...

my point was: Trump's rhetoric, spoken from his powerful office gives some idiots a feeling of permission...kinda like the boss saying out loud that doing ___________ would be a good thing.....who knows if they ever would've acted violently or not without the boss's blessing?...

but there have been at least a few dozen documented instances where a violent criminal said he was motivated by Trump, so it is real whether or not you choose to believe it...

https://www.salon.com/2019/08/15/more-than-three-dozen-violent-or-threatening-criminal-cases-linked-to-people-who-cited-trump-report/

Cesar Soyoc, the mail bomber, was a visible example...maybe the con media failed to cover him to provide Trump some cover...

I don't remember a single instance where a violent criminal committed his crime based on encouragement from Obama...if you are aware, please point me there...

Dude.
People use quotes when they paraphrase. Get over yourself. "bolster"? LOL! I wasn't even arguing. You sure are sensitive.

And my paraphrase was spot on what you posted earlier.

You don't get it. You see Obama saying things that are anti LEO, then you see a spike in violence against LEO's but you can't make the connection because the media didn't tell you to.
I don't need a criminal to say "Obama made me do it". Sorry I'm not as simple minded as your media.
