Anyone do one?

If so, what are your thoughts?

Didn’t realize what it was and that I am doing it. Huh.

No thoughts. I just dump the last dram or two in. Mine is all scotch no bourbons.

Do you just fill it up and wait till it’s full or drink from it occasionally?

I drink from it. Like I said it wasn't intentional. If I have a dram or two left in another bottle I pour it in. And I drink from it whenever I like, especially if it is getting full. It's never gotten completely full. I make sure of that. I also do not put anything heavily peated in it although that could be interesting.

Yep. I have one. It's a bourbon mash up.

I usually pour the last bit of my preferred bourbon's into it. "IF" they're a favorite, and never any of the "it's ok" stuff. I keep a list of what's been added so I can see where I'm at.

I pour a few fingers time to time once it gets up halfway or so to see where it's at. Essentially it's your custom blend at that point.

I hit a point last summer that was amazing and a friend of mine sat there and drank most of it. LOL. Had to start over.

Tough job, but it has to be done! Chef

..... yuck?

I mean... why?

if you've got a dram left, drink it?

It can make it better or worse. It sort of depends on the dram that is left. If it is really special I wouldn't mix it.

So I was a kid in the 60's. Parents always had cocktail parties. The next morning they would sleep in but leave all the liquor bottles out.

I was sure they would not remember how much their friends drank. So I was clear to skim a little off of each bottle after each party.

I had one bottle for clear and one for colored liquor. So I built up a collection of my own blends. The whiskey and bourbon blends were far better than the gin, vodka, tequila blends - if I remember.
