Drove past my daughter's school on the way home from Costco... Saw an older women being accosted by a pit bull mix....

Threw the car into reverse... The woman got out of there... I called the cops and then proceeded to warn 3 more groups of parents with children to turn around...

After 5 minutes (you can drive around the entire city in 5 minutes) I call back and the Fresno county dispatcher (they are notorious for being idiots) asks me whose dog it is... I say I don't know, it's running around a travel trailer... She interrupts, "sir, you just have to say yes or no"...

And so, I lost my sh*t.... She didn't ask me a yes or no question... She ignored me when I did answer her, and when I attempted to provide her with pertinent info, she interrupted... She got huffy and tried politely hanging up on me but I beat her to it...

Dude who owned the dog showed up before the cops... I fairly calmly let him know what his dog had been doing and that the cops would be there in a minute and he needed to hang around to talk to them...

And I think he did... Which was really smart... Cops in this town will generally just talk to you if you talk to them... If you try to get away from them, it's a small, boring town and they like a little excitement...

Also at one point when the dog decided he was gonna go after a woman with a stroller I told him in No uncertain terms "dog, I will f*cking kill you - look at me - I will f*cking end your life"... He seemed to understand or at least recognize that the stroller wasn't worth it...

Wife is changing jobs. She gets our health insurance from her job. The COBRA premium is going to be $2,400 per month. Gotta look around for a less expensive gap plan.

Be thankful you have the option... We're still doing $2500 a month for cobra because we didn't realize California outlawed gap coverage... 3 more months i think....

I caught a sh*tload of tuna the last couple days. Maybe one of the mods will approve the photographic evidence before they go home for the weekend.

There's the last one. We got all of our fish on 2 stops. Left at 11am Wednesday and probably fished for 2 hours later in the day for my first 5 fish. 2 yellowfin and 3 skipjack. Then the next day we found them around 10 am and just kept killing 'em for about 4 hours...

8 yellowfin went home in my biggest cooler. The 4 skippies were in the bed of the truck with ice on them because they didn't fit in the cooler.

My shoulder hurts... and my lower back hurts... but boy was it fun.

Seriously, I’ve had several phone conversations with guys here and all have been memorable.

Tropical storm. Rained all night. Got like 3-4" of rain. Going to rain all day too. Gotta drain the pool, get a haircut and then watch U of F and UCF (along with a couple other match-ups).

We have got .500 inch so far don't look like we are going to get much more. I was hope for the 3 inches they were saying we were going to get off of the storm. The center will be just south of us.

Found a large moth in the pool this morning. He was barely moving so I scooped him out and left him on the pool decking to dry. Came back in about 1/2 hour and he was still wet so I moved him to a sunny area. When I came back later to check on him he took off and circled around the pool a few times and just when I thought I had saved his life .... ZOT! Cactus Wren snagged breakfast.
