Not American cheese anymore, it's Mozzarella, pro;;y because of pizza and the cheese mafia.

FWIW, American cheese (product) is not really cheese.

I dunno man.. never thought of it as a blue... i found this... Mellow

An original Dubliner is a sweet, mild and mature cheese taking over 12 months to develop the sharp robust flavour and texture of mature cheddar, the nuttiness of Swiss cheeseand the bite of Parmesan cheese. It has a high content of calcium, due to the calcium lactate crystals in the cheese.

Oh man, I scored some aged provolone from Wisconsin a month ago that is amazing! This is one good thing about living in flyover country, I'm about 45 minutes from some amazing cheese. BigGrin

Yes, please do not eat Wisconsin cheese. Leaves more for us.

Lucky enough to be 15, 20 and 30 minutes away from 3 quality cheese factories.

Whenever I head out to the driftless region of Wisconsin, I stop at a cheese shop in the farm town of Monroe WI. I get cheese curds fresh from the source. They squeak when you chew 'em. And unbelievably delicious!!! I enjoy a variety, but the cheddar is the best by far. Simple deliciousness. Paired with a smoked beef stick, dayam! Sconsin soul food...

Salty response. But not unpalatable.
I prefer fresh water, and wilderness.
But not opposed to traveling.

Perhaps you should venture into the boonies...

I can not move back in time to a place in which cheese curds that squeak are to die for.

Who said it's back?
Taste with an open mind. Without the chronology of fashion.

Tastes are so fashionable and trendy...
How embarrassing? To be at a cocktail party, and not indulge in the finest stinky French cheese???
How utterly gauche.

Why lose appreciation for something that is timelessly, superlatively delicious?
I won't tell your neighbors...

I've been to Monroe. Fresh cheese curds are in fact culinary perfection. I was in Clintonville, WI working at Seagrave Fire Apparatus. There was a little gas station mini mart just south of there. Every morning the local cheese factory brought in fresh cheese curds. Still hot. OMG.

I ate an entire pound of those the first time I discovered them. Didn't poop for an entire day. Totally worth it. LOL.

Simple pleasures man. They're what make life worth living.

I don't know why I gotta suck stuff. I ain't from Sconnie. I like a good Beemster X-0 from Holland. Although I did enjoy an evening with a plump girl named Rebecca in Madison back in the early 90's. She was full of creamy goodness and smelled like a well aged farm house cheddar.

Invested about an hour to Youtube time listening to Richard Cheese.

Understood the words to several songs not known before.

Thanks TW for the enriching cultural offering.
