there does seem to have been some gradual shifting in Texas recently. Probably not enough to go Blue quite yet, especially with no amazing candidate from the Dems so far.

This seems to be our current crisis,not on par with illegals but a serious problem none the less.We are growing by leaps and bounds,mostly business's moving in from California.Problem is they bring the very issues with them that prompted them to leave the west coast.If you're going to move your business to Texas because of our appealing tax code...…...leave your **** ing liberal politics behind unless you just want more of the same 10-20 years down the road.

Colorado would be my shining example...….Used to be a great state,then the lefties came.Now a quagmire of beauracracy,high taxes and drug dependence.

Neither the cops nor the military is going to confiscate any law-abiding citizen's guns.

Totally agree. Even law enforcement and military people who are not conservative likely support the right of citizens to own guns...as do I.

And I know it's not the point you are making, but I'll borrow it to add to a point I made in another thread...

The NRA talks about confiscation to create unnecessary fear and to stop any talks on any level before they begin by saying it would "open the door" to confiscation...which would never happen.

Not what I’m saying at all. Just that any American should stand up to such a bold overeach.

My guess is that neither those on the right or the left would want to see citizens of a nation having rights infringed upon. No big deal he didn’t get much traction anyway so obviously the left had little use for his politics. If there was as a meaningful quantity of those against Armalite 10 and 15 style rifles he would have done much better in the primaries.
