Robert,
Things certainly may have changed but as long ago as 2005, you could elect COBRA and didn't have to pay for it for 90 days. If your new insurance kicked in before that 90th day, you could deselect COBRA and owe nothing.

If your wife falls into that 90 day category, check into it.

Thank you. I have been pondering that same thing...

Supposed to warm up today, but maybe some showers this AM. Got cold too quick this fall, hoping a warm up today and tomorrow will thaw out the ground around the carrot crop.

Should get outside and mow the leaves. But when I went to let the chickens out, found the yard to be mud soup. Mower would just get stuck.

Looks like leaves are staying till spring.

Morning. Sun is out, kinda. It's cold and I had one too many bourbons, I definitely should have not had the stout to finish off. It worked. LOL. Oh well.

Mowed the leaves out back. Couldn't mow in the soup. Found a dead deer out there. Dragged it to the compost pile.

Batch of beans in the crock pot and boiled a dozen eggs to make deviled eggs for thanksgiving.

Changed the oil in my truck.

It was already bloated and raccoons picking at it. Most of the face was eaten.

Haven't been to that part of the yard in at least a month, so who knows how long its been out there or how it died.

Surprised the dogs didn't find it.

I've gotten a roadkill tag on a deer that got hit and then dragged itself into my yard with its front two feets. Back half was broken. Called DNR out and they tagged it so I could get it processed.

Beans n rice for dinner.

Beers started with the lawnmower and still flowing.

Work called and even offered up some extra money to come in tonight. If I hadn't been drinking beer all day I would.

Gotta help my parents out tomorrow too. They mow lawns for extra income and for some reason agreed to clean gutters on a couple of the houses they mow. But my parents are too old to be climbing ladders or walking on roofs, so I get a phone call and asked to do it. I hate heights. But I don't want my parents trying to climb ladders and clean gutters.

I'm glad they asked. Wish they'd just told the customers NO, but at least they aren't trying to do it themselves.

The streak is over. It stops at 24 days. That being the number of days where Green Bay's daily high temperature was below the average high temp.

Party time.

I have a policy. I don't eat bloated deer face nor road kill.
Probably the key to my longevity.

I'm not overly picky but I don't think I eat any deer face, bloated or otherwise. Rest of it's fair game though

Raining pretty heavy already

Doesn't look like I'll be cleaning gutters today. ...I hope.

Roofer called me last night, said they'll be getting started on Tuesday early AM.

Second day of rain here which is unusual. I'm not much of a cook but I'm making beef stew in da crock pot. Looks like another day of treadmill walking for 'ol DED.

Saw Ford v Ferrari last night. Matt Damon ain't no Carroll Shelby.

Beans n rice and a beer for breakfast ish.

Been up for 6 hours, so maybe it's more like lunch.

Thinking of sleeping today and going to work tonight. Nothing to do at home. Well, there is, but I'm not gonna do it.

If it keeps on raining, the levee's going to break Whistle

Well, at least I'm going to need to back flush the pool to keep it within it's banks.

Hey guys, it's been a short while since I've been on here....life has been using me as a piñata for the last few weeks. One thing after the other. I don't want to get into it all here, but damn, life plays hard-and apparently plays to win...hopefully things are mellowing out....but I don't thinks soBrick wall
