Horrible nurse. Butchering me. Cleaned me then sprayed my blood all over me. Wish she hadn’t cleaned me. Other good nurse offered to hep her. Shevsid no.

Tee....relax. Last time I was in the hospital, I remember how lonely and terrible I felt in the middle of the night. You are not alone. You got a beautiful family and a whole community of jackholes, misfits, and malcontents here that love you and are with you in spirit. Drafter says he can't wait to see your new titties and stuff. I'm pretty sure he doesn't know why you're in there.

When your day is long
And the night
The night is yours alone
When you're sure you've had enough
Of this life
Well hang on
Don't let yourself go
'Cause everybody cries
And everybody hurts sometimes....

Best way to get top notch care and waited on hand and foot?

Wait until the nurse comes in to mess with the IV's, CPAP, whatever you're hooked up to. I usually try to wait for two or three. When they're not looking at you and they adjust something, make a loud gurgling/hacking/choking sound.

The nursing staff, after they calm down, will realize that you simply need more attention and that was a desperate call for special care. Works everytime it's tried. BigGrin

Glad you're good Teedub.

If you hurt, tell them and get the meds. Stay ahead of the pain train. None of this hero crap!

My mother was in the hospital some years ago and I sent her one of those Edible Arrangement fruit bouquets.
I signed it "From your friends at the Attorney General's office".

She got great care after that.

Hand in there TW. I had a mitral valve done in May 16. AV node ablation and pacemaker in Sept 17. Three wire pacemaker in June 18. Swappiing out second pacemaker for a defibrillator on Dec 2. I feel good, just get a little discouraged once in awhile.

They forgot to give me my pain meds last night and didn’t renew the pump. I went several hours with no pain meds. We are trying to catch back up. I’d gone backwards.

Ideally, you have a patient advocate with you for as many of hours of the day possible. It shouldn't be that way, but mistakes REGULARLY happen in hospitals. Had it happen to both my Mom and Dad.

Disheartening (pun intended) when Joe Civilian has to be there to assure the right and left medical hands know what the other is doing.
