Tulsi Gabbard on Joe Rogan... It's long, but intentionally so... She gets to speak her platform as long as she wants... Listen to as much as you can and see what you think... Personally, I'm sold...

I'm curious to hear from other right of center folks here... Any reason you couldn't vote for this veteran aside from Her being a Democrat?

There's always a chance... Warren and Sanders could drop dead of a heart attack any day... Biden's eventually gonna get taken down for getting handsy with little girls... And minorities aren't voting for kamala...

she definitely has a different message but it's not getting out.
some possible bad news, both real and fake, looming in the background as well....but I guess they all have that.

I also like Joe Sestak, but he hasn't broken through at all yet outside of Iowa. And, he mostly tries to occupy the same space as Tulsi.

Nope. That there is the deal breaker. Personally, as a veteran I don't for the life of me understand why she chooses to be in that party. I will NEVER vote for a Democrat again. Game over.

Kamala is out, Warren is on her way back to obscurity. Mayor Pete can't get the minority votes, Obama has said he'll take out Sanders. You get Quid Pro Quo Joe and like it!!!

I'm on record here as having said - many months ago - the nod belongs to biden... It's no doubt rigged that way...

However, I think there's something in the works that could sink him... I think in this day and age of the #metoo movement there's a shot one of his young victims comes out and ruins him...

Creepy "Legs" Joe is his own worst enemy. He's not smart.

I think his quid pro quo unseats him and we'll just see where him and his son end up as a result!

She's the least awful of the Dem candidates, IMO.

But I have always voted third party and will continue to do so.

^^^^^^^^^^^^ This. (With one local exception!*)

Their whole platform is just so freaking far out there.

But, to her specifically? She's a gun banner/confiscator. She's from Hawaii, I get it (no offense Conan), but that ain't going to fly in Peoria. Well, it might in Peoria proper, but not in the surrounding county I guarantee. BigGrin

That's one of the big problems they've got this cycle. There have been so many of those Nazi wanna-be's running around finally telling the actual truth about the parties platform they have a HUGE problem. And before you start trotting out the "nobody wants to" BS, I have a million clips of various democrats spewing "Turn them all in Mr. and Mrs. America". Yeah, yeah they do. Once again reinforced by the latest crop of nimrods.

So anyway. The asterisk.

*My accountant was running for the County Treasurer/Collector. She's a screaming liberal. Bad. But, she's a damned good accountant. Which I find odd. How can one reconcile fiscal conservatism with the democratic platforms? But I do trust her financial judgement. And the Republican that has been in there is shady as all get out.

So I voted for her. She lost anyway, which may have been a good thing the way she goes party line now that she is on the city council, but Que Sera, Sera. For one election there was a democrats yard sign among all the republican ones in my yard.

"Yes, I know it's there, leave it be. No, you can't put that idiots sign in my yard. Thank you!"

hadn't heard this... she served in the military and is currently enlisted in the reserves... if she actually said that, she's smart enough to know it'll never happen...

from her website:

Tulsi Gabbard on Gun Safety Legislation
Key Points
Tulsi strongly supports a number of gun control measures, including:
A federal ban on military-style assault weapons and high capacity magazines
Requiring comprehensive pre-purchase background checks
Closing the gun-show loophole
Making sure that terrorists are not allowed to buy guns
Tulsi’s support of gun control has led to her rating of 100% by the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, along with an “F” rating from the NRA and a 0% rating from the Hawaii Rifle Association.
Tulsi participated in the House sit-in in 2016 when Republicans refused to allow any members to vote on any gun control legislation.
In working towards enacting real gun control measures, Tulsi is focusing on bipartisan measures that have a chance of actually becoming passed into law, rather than using the issue as a political football.

can't say I take issue with any of that...

Really you take no issue with that?!!

Well maybe your state of residency has steeped the state of conciseness. You really should only leave the tea bag in for 3-4 mins unless you’re 809 and then you wait for the big finish.

A federal ban on military-style assault weapons and high capacity magazines - I can see how this one bothers some... Not me... It won't change anything, and at least people will finally see that...

Requiring comprehensive pre-purchase background checks - isn't this already the rule of law?

Closing the gun-show loophole - empty political talk, but have a go at it...

Making sure that terrorists are not allowed to buy guns - Sounds like a racist ban on Muslims to me, but whatever...

Ultimately, everything on the site is intended to appeal to democrats... If you peel away the political talk, it looks like 90% common sense to me...

One problem, I seriously doubt if re-enacted it would have a sunset provision. Therefore any effort to repeal would surely be followed by yet another incident. After which, any attempt to repeal it would almost akin to political suicide. Yet, we all know politicians choose the safest perceived path forward. As a result, we’d be stuck with another unfounded erosion of our 2nd Amendment rights.

Already been done. Clinton did it during his presidency. They learned nothing.

It is. It's pablum for the sheeple.

No such thing. transactions must go through the ATF. Again, more pablum.

Terrorists being anyone disagreeing with the democrat party.

You peel away the political talk, and actually think, there's nothing there. Nothing. Just a promise to oppress those that disagree with the dems and socialism.

Substitute pot and bong for gun. And stoner for terrorist. How's that sound now?

Just saying. horse

Now that Kamala is "out" ....

I want to buy her several drinks at the Willard Hotel bar "Happy hour" then take her over to the MARRIOTT right next door (cuz I can't afford the Willard room rates) and have her give me one of those famous B.J.'s she's known for...in all the upper echelon circles.. all over CALIFORNIA...then I'll chow that freshly showered cootchie and make her reel all around that Marriott suite room hot tub and bathroom double sink top and while watching it in the mirror...
The entire time...
