gonna get TonyGraz's weather a few hours later...
very cold now, snow due late afternoon followed by rain that is expected to freeze immediately.
But tomorrow should get into mid to high 40's which may make for safer conditions.

Looks like the car stays home tonight.

They're expecting some record sales this year, seems I hear this is THE largest one yet! Enjoy, maybe I will catch the replay on TV late this year.

Gotta be able to train for situations where either all 6 lights between the two of you fail, or the silt gets kicked up enough to remove all visibility (this happens). So training involves finding your way out blind.

Today I have to do air-share with my partner (simulate catastrophic tank failure) and then make it out with a blindfold on.

I was waiting for you to answer, I've watched quite a few diving type episodes. One of the most odd and disorienting cave dive I witnessed was in a cenote' that went from fresh water to salt water! That was pretty weird looking and made everything look hazy until they cleared from the mixed water space.

Be safe and enjoy

Haloclines... Love those. Seen a lot on Mexico caverns.
Also if you hit 85-100ft in some cenotes with organic material you hit a hydrogen sulfide level that tastes terrible and is cloudy white

Next up is lost line drill.... In the cave we have to go away from the static line, then blindfold ourselves and find it blind while running a safety line to a static point.

Well, the snow blower is fixed, shear bolts, fairly easy. BigGrin

Temp is dropping like panties around sailors. Man it is cold and windy. Big batch of goulash in the plan. Laying low tonight.

Still just rainy here but the wind is whipping up. Wife says its sposeda freeze tonight, so camper show trip in the morning may be a little rough. Hopefully it keeps crowds down.

Congratulations. That is a good solid piece. While I grew up on 1911's, the M9 was a good pistol. Applause

I also learned on the 1911. I joined in 1987 and they were still using the 1911 when I started working security in 1993. They were already using the M9 by the time I went to MA A-school in 1996.

I have a Beretta 92. I don't shoot it that much, but it's a great gun. If I were to choose one autoloding sidearm in the safe to keep, it would probably be that one. My biggest gripe is the grip size that was made for gorilla paws. Otherwise its flawless.

One game at a time, Brother. One game at a time.

The day could end with a Titans v Packers Superbowl.

1 degree and breezy. That'll freeze the balls off of a brass monkey.

Sweat pants, hoodie and slippers. Not putting clothes on today or going outside for anything. The sun porch for a cigar, that's it.

I'd rather carry a BERETTA BEARCAT .22
WITH 4 MAGAZINES filled with CCI STINGER HOLLOW POINTS than a Beretta 92 gorilla paw boat anchor...

Drafter! Laugh

Morning all!

Gonna be some good games today, definitely will be either interesting or over quickly like I hear the fight was last night.

Even for free, I didn't bother to watch.

Interesting thing, the "cocoa puff acting" TV started back properly after sitting on the floor with everything unplugged last night. NOW, to get that big sucker back up on the mantle.

On a sun porch, in nw Illinois, in January?

How warm/cold will that enclosure be today?

I missed the "big fights" so I could read to my kids... No interest in seeing holms boring fight style and don't get excited for McGregor...

I did watch all the rest - including prelims and early prelims - and they were wonderfully entertaining...

The big names sell ppv's, but they aren't what makes the sport worth following...

Well, after the heaters run for about an hour between 40 to 60. It's one of those cheapy add on glass window three season room things that were popular in the 1970/80's. So with my smoking hoody on while chilly, it beats being outside. Herfing

I get them for free, and I still don't watch. You had a much better choice using that time with the youngn's.

Proud of ya Brother!

Camper show was a wash. Nothing I particularly liked but wife and I have a list of must haves, just gotta find the camper that has all of them.

Next month's show in Rosemont is the really big one. This Schaumburg show today is the smallest one we go to. It's probably smaller than the lots of the two mega dealerships near us.

Afternoon everyone. Wife is grocery shopping, one kid is napping, the other is watching YouTubers. I'm sitting here wondering how he finds this stuff entertaining. Gonna make me some chicken wings. They are crispy baked chicken wings and they are so frickin good. Off work tomorrow for the holiday, probably gonna stay up late and play video games with a cigar and a bottle of wine.

If you have a spare $2.5m there's an RV I saw on YouTube that has everyone's must haves, plus several not so must haves. Sorry, no link for ya
