New system for ticketing this year, using Eventbrite. Usually you pre-register and load your cart up and then when the sales go live you checkout. Can you do any of this with Eventbrite or do you just log in that Saturday at 2pm and then load the cart and buy?

Too old for all that malarkey...
Hassle and smoke....

If you go with friends and split the room and driving costs,
It would be way more fun than going alone and barely knowing anybody...

Have fun, it's a good time the first time around...

I've used Eventbrite for other events and you could not put tickets in your cart until they actually go on sale.

I dunno ... unless your wife likes cigars and a crowd of mostly older fat guys...

the large conference room for the main event at the Big Smoke Las Vegas got so smoke filled after about 2 hours, we had to go out into the lobby for fresh air several times...

You sure you're not the event promoter?

Yeah, that's out then. I was picturing outdoor/ tents for herfing, a nice room with a view and a Jacuzzi and a massage for the wife while I scoop up some crazy deals on some rare boutique's and accoutrement, a dinner with ambiance and a bar full of like-minded people but my main concern is that there won't even be many cigars I want as is the case with my selectively these days. There's less stuff CI sells that I have to have these days.

CI in The Colony, TX has a lot that is unavailable online. Not sure if this holds true for others.

I was describing the Cigar Aficionado sponsored Big Smoke in Las Vegas, a totally different event. I've never been to a CI Cigar Fest... might be a good idea for you to check the website for a schedule of events. Since it is being held at a resort, she may be able to find something to do while you attend Cigar Fest events....

Every year the site crashes and people can’t get in for tickets so the system needed upgrading. But not sure this is an upgrade and the added “processing fees” per ticket is BS. In a few hours the sale goes live and I’m sure there’ll be quite a few people disappointed with this new system.

It was a painful. It was not working but someone i know got me one. I was in the Eventbrite site it wouldn't update to buy the tickets. I figured out i had to go from the Cigarfest site click at the ticket boxes at the bottom of the page. Then it sent me to another page to get the tickets.

Well it has finally happened, after going for the last 12 years with my 3 friends none of us were able to get tickets this year. So to everyone who got tickets, congrats. Now what to do with the extra cash.

.
The best ways to reliably get tickets every year:

1. Have a connection to CI people who can get you tickets easily every year. Result: easy guaranteed tickets.

Few people have that, so the next-best way is:

2. Show up in-person at a PA CI brick-and-mortar store long in advance of its opening on ticket-selling day, and camp out in line. Result: less easy but almost-guaranteed tickets.

And of course, failing that there's:

3. Buying online. This is for the birds. Your odds aren't very good at all.

Almost nobody has #1, and few people can logistically do #2. That's why they work so much better for reliably getting tickets.

ANYBODY can do #3, which is why it's a giant competition cluster-f**k and you have low odds of getting tickets.

So your assignment for next year is to suck up to CI employees or move to northeastern PA! Herfing

Obvious it’s not going to take place in October, when will CI come out with some updates?
