Not here it isn't.

Snow and wind.

Shovelled the driveway, ran to the gas station a couple towns over to get kerosene for the garage heater.

Gotta go to the bank to sign some forms and stuff for the car refinance.

Was gonna go to the big RV show up in Rosemont today with the wife while boy's in school. But show doesn't open till noon and it's a little over an hour's drive to get there, likely longer to get back in the mid afternoon. Wouldn't be home in time for the boy to get off the bus. Show opens earlier on the weekends, but I will not go back there on a weekend again. So damn crowded. Thinking we'll pick boy up from school instead of waiting on the bus tomorrow and go up then. Don't have to worry about getting home on time since he doesn't have school the next day.

My Grandfather went to California and then Las Vegas with my parents to visit family. They flew home out of Las Vegas. My Dad was telling me about Gramps in the Casinos. He looked at all of that stuff like it was a rattlesnake and wanted nothing to do with any of it.

So they're coming home, and Gramps had a silver dollar he had gotten as change somewhere. So at the gate in the airport he told Mom, "What the heck" and shoved it in a slot machine. He hit for several hundred dollars.

He looked at Mom and asked her "Why didn't you tell me it was this easy? I would have played them!"

LOL. Dad said they didn't have the heart to tell him. Figured it was just better to let him be mad at them.

LOL

Morning. I'm with Dan! 10 degrees and 3 inches of snow on the ground. Got the snowblower out and cleared it before the wifester had to go to work. But my fingers hurt even in the mittens. It's freaking cold!

Hey Drafter - did you have a color preference?

I heard he wanted a pink one, but would take a polka dot one if you can't find the pink.

All the paperwork done and mailed in for car refinance.

Finished up taxes, worked enough overtime to get a return this year. I claim 6 on my W4, so usually I have to cut a check for a couple hundred. Getting $500 back this year.

After I shovel the driveway again, I'm done being a responsible adult for the day.

On to beer and videogames. Maybe a quick HUHC out in the garage.

Pork butt and potatoes.

Spending the day shorting 30k volts to ground every 30 seconds or so. Set up the power supply/HV line and a ground and can hear it arc every time it cycles.

One of our clients has a number of the systems tripping their GFCI circuits.
We can't seem to replicate the problem in the warehouse, but it's possible that a long icy winter could have caused the system to constantly short, and that may have damaged the GFCI circuit. I'm trying to replicate that scenario.

Being a multiple time visitor and “depositor” to LV, I can truly say it’s never that easy. However, if you go in expecting to win, you 99.9% of the time, won’t. If you go in without any expectations, it’s surprising how lucky you can sometimes get. On our last trip, while sitting next to my wife, just keeping her company, I hit $1,200 on a game I had never played before and quite frankly, didn’t even know what the game was. I just fed my $100 in and kept pressing “Max Bet”. Didn’t even know I had won until my wife noticed the flashing light.

Burn pits work too.

I've disposed of three full grown deer carcasses in my burn pit. They get hit by cars, and wander into my swamp to die.

Fill the pit weekly with fallen branches, trees, chicken litter, leaves, paper trash etc. Light it up and everything disappears. Bones take a few cycles, but they too turn to dust.

Conan, it's like you said. Didn't expect to do chit and won hundreds. Figured I had a free hundred to work with and expected the good run to continue. Nope. On the bright side, fought my way back to even so could've been worse.

Toyed with having another go at that point and then saw a guy put $500 on red at roulette.... and lost it. I don't belong here. Time for a cigar and bed

No one belongs there SOB.
For every “Hit it big” story, there are how many “lost everything” stories?
And the “Hit it big” stories end up being losers in the end.
No one needs a Bentley to be happy.
That’s the sickness of Hollywood and the elite...

My experience has shown me that Lady Luck is fickle and she generally leaves almost as soon as you think you’re gonna hit it big. As such, I usually just pick up and leave after winning a little. Glad you broke even.

Btw, what color ashtray did you get for Drafter? Wink

Trapped one for you, but I let it go. It was bald and I didn't think it would survive the trip across the country.

My pup ate the internet when she was little.

Was crated while we were at work. Came home and she was roaming free. Got herself out of the crate, jumped on the counter, jumped to ceiling to grab the cable and ethernet cords, took them down along with the router and modem. Then proceeded to break them to bits.
