I couldn't deal with 115° sustained like you get in the summer either.

We may hit 115 once or twice each summer and above 110 about fifteen days. Even those days see lows of 85 or so. You would be surprised how nice 85 in the shade is when the RH is 10%. What I can't stand is 80-90 and high RH. Spent a week in Houston one day.

Well chit, we get 1-2 days a summer 100-110 but always 90% plus humidity.

And another one.

Battery in my truck crapped out on me. There goes another $150.

Gonna head to the Valparaiso gun show today, try to sell some stuff.

Too bad you aren’t close. Going to big gun show a couple miles from me. I keep trying to buy stuff but the damn show pricing is always so high.

I may need a second host for a suppressor that is in NFA jail. No hurry because it will be there for months but I’d like to find a good threaded 9 and 22.

117 in Vegas was the worst. I’d rather have -5. Actually felt like I was melting into the sidewalk.
Just slightly better is the 90/90 rh% and temp. Not a fan of drinking my air.

Just ate a half pound of sausage, 4 hash browns, 2 giant biscuits, 2 fried eggs, 2 slices of American cheese and a 12oz glass of orange juice.

Feeling alert, like I need to go chop some wood or something.

It's amazing how good southern food tastes when you eat like a California liberal most of the time.

I always buy the jerky.

That was all I came home with today.

Found my exact gun I was trying to sell on a table, with easily a third of the finish missing, visible rust, and dented grips. Tag said $1100. Asked the guy if he wanted to buy mine (nearly mint, just a wear ring and a single pitmark on the cylinder). Showed it, he said this ones really nice, what you want for it? I said $600. He says I can do $500. I walked.

Another table had a CZ75 Omega suppressor host with tall sights n stuff. I've wanted that gun for a while. $679 on the tag. I asked if they'd take trade. Lady said they would, so I handed over my Colt to be assessed. They said my Colt and $250 for the CZ.

Guess I gotta just keep bumping my sale thread on the local gun forum till I find someone. I'm not giving up a beautifully blued 4" Colt revolver for anything less than $600. It can sleep in my safe till I get that.

Half the days in the summer you gotta chew the air before you inhale.

Humidity sucks.

When I was in San Diego I was blown away by how chilly 75 degrees was if you weren't in the sun. I checked forecast, wore shorts n tshirt, and regretted my decision.

Back home now.

Stupid crowded. And as I was leaving, the line was out the door.

Didn't see any deals. More junk vendor tables than dealers.

I'd recommend you spend the entry fee on range rental at Blythe's instead.

^I wear shorts and a t-shirt when it's 60. I'd figure people accustomed to the bitter cold would be less affected by chilly temps.

Not looking forward to the humidity in the south, but I can't stay in CA when it's this fn stupid, politically. I got used to it in the Philippines and I didn't have AC there.

danm can't catch a break...pretty soon, he'll be seeing the tranny dude again....

in Ca, if both vehicles are making a turning motion at the time of the collision, both drivers are at fault...but since he was coming at you from behind, he's got more fault...see what your insurance co. says, what fault ratio they decide on...shouldn't be 50-50...if it isn't satisfactory, get a lawyer and go after the insurance company of the guy who hit you...

Dan m much better deal in that gun online.

Found a few options today. Prolly should have bought one of them.

P09 suppressor ready $429. After tax it would be up to online price delivered.

I’ve found great pricing on an sp01 and cz75 both suppressor ready online. No one will match them.

So I think I know what I’ll do in the 9. Think I may just have my Kadet .22 kit threaded.

Got up at 5am, oldest up at 630am watched toy story 4, fixed the snowblower and got it running again. Reorganized the cedar closet some. Gonna eat some lunch. I might make a run and bring some donations in, if not today doing it tomorrow. Just depends if the wife can get together her clothes that she is getting rid of.

I would be researching TN or FL, no state income taxes, and much lower cost of living, especially in TN where we get the nice, cheap TVA electric Co-Op, Non-profit electricity.

Just have to decide if you prefer the mountain area of East TN or the rural areas that feed into Nashville, which have become more pricey over the last decade or Rural West Tn, which is pretty humid from May until late September and even into October some years, often with almost no breaks. TN is one of those unusual States with at least 5 different geographic regions! Take your pick.

It's the AC that ruins your ability to acclimate to the humidity, but I hate to sweat outside unless I'm doing some sort of farming or garden work. So, I have been ruined with my health problems and having to start back to daily walking, heat and humidity and all. I will have to last a bit longer just to help with Grandkids! I figure what with being left handed, all sorts of health problems and meds, I will be lucky to see my late 60's or mid 70's, that's why I tell everyone that I deal with in the public that it's "Another good day above ground!" We aren't promised tomorrow!

Have you looked into a .22 conversion for your current pistols? I have them for my Beretta's, 1911's and my AR's. I love them. Fun to shoot and I'm still shooting my regular triggers and the gun handling/manual of arms stays the same.

Taking wife and BIL to Cheesecake Factory for a late lunch/early dinner at 2pm. Wife had to work yesterday, so we decided we'd avoid the Valentines Day BS crowds and go to dinner today. Early enough to avoid other people who may have had the same idea.

Geeze I'm old...fog

USN the Kadet is the .22 conversion kit for my CZ75 I love it. I think I’ll love it more threaded. It’s fixed barrel so a 3-lug will work.

Got an email from someone on the local gun forum offering $550 for my Colt.

Told him if he comes to my house and I have to put in zero effort on the sale, it's his.

Colt Trooper MKIII blue 4"

Gorgeous gun. Too nice to shoot.

I used to collect, but sold everything in 2010. I started to get back into it a few years ago but it's just not my thing anymore. I want to play with my toys. Only collectible pieces I have left are this revolver, a wartime serial'd Colt 1911, a deep blued 1970's Colt 1911. I think the wartime 1911 will be put up for sale next. I shoot the other 1911.

If I had more disposable income, I'd get back into collecting. But my first foray fell into my lap. Would be much more effort to start from scratch. I think I spent about 15k on the first round of collecting, and sold for over 30. Had some class 3 stuff I sold on consignment that was most of the profit. I bought out three estates in 2005-06 from friends of friends.

Sunday morning all Chevy car show. Both my brothers and our wives will be there at the mall. Wives will probably shop most of the time while we bench race and peruse the cars. Should be home in time to see most of Datona 500.
