.
The best thing for VD is either antibiotic pills or a topical cream, whichever your doctor recommends.

I'll be returning from a seminar in Vegas and likely won't make it home before she crashes for the night. Nothing says romance like absenteeism

Vegas?

Couple of recommended places if you have some meal freedom and time on your hands:

1. Iffin’ you enjoy seafood - The Oyster Bar inside Palace Station. I usually get Crab & Lobster Combo Pan Roast. Best time is between 6 to 10 am, otherwise you may have to wait 30-45 minutes for a seat. No reservations and only 18-19 seats.

2. Casa Fuente - for a cigar aficionado like yourself, your trip would be incomplete without going there. Be forewarned, cigar prices are not for the faint of heart (...you can bring your own...) but their mojito is really good

3. Lotus of Siam - I’ve never been there but Whistle swears it’s the best Thai food outside of Thailand. Reservations needed so might be too late.

Have fun. And remember, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Whistle

when we were young, before kids, I would make her a steak and lobster dinner...

now, after kids, and grandkids, it's another excuse for a family gathering...I get to cook, of course...this year my SIL's mother is our special guest...her hubby died a couple of years ago, and so we invite her over on the special occasions when we used to invite them both...

one year I forgot about Valentine's Day...she had made me a German Chocolate cake/my fave...winter lasted a long time that year...

Not a ton of time to myself. Maybe a couple hours here and there Wed and Thurs. I have set in my head that a visit to CF is necessary. Staying and seminarring at Caesar's which I believe is fortuitous geography if my brief search was accurate. The whole thing's run by one of our vendors so I believe their goal is as many planned schmoozing events as possible. My goal is to escape and explore. Boss is going too and he's hellbent as much gambling as possible. I pointed out he doesn't pay me enough to afford to gamble

Oh, you are, indeed, a lucky fella! Applause

From the casino floor, just head for the Forum Shops and go from there. At some point your nose will tell you you're close. And since you won't be driving, you'll be able to have a couple of mojitos and enjoy a nice double corona or Churchill while you're there. Or, you can be like Ron, order a bourbon (...or Scotch, other adult beverage...) and have your flask ready for refills. Anxious

So I've been dating this gal a couple weeks and not sure what she's after. Told her if we're gonna go out for Valentine's then she should pick the place. Figured that would be a good idea because I don't want to do anything overly sappy this early on.

So.

Ron's a sailor. We, as a group, are professionals.

We don't ****** around with silly things like drink minimums, and house liquor. A flask is an EDC emergency medical item as well. You just never know when you'll need to treat snakebite, knife wounds, gunshot wounds, or fight off Delirium tremens. That is simply a case of being prepared. Shame on you

If I had the money I would be there (with or without the woman).
I am low on Don Alejandro and would like to see if they have any CF Lanceros behind the counter.

I hate Valentine's day.... Its an excuse for companies to make money... I've made very plain to my kids that - like Halloween - it's essentially just Candy Day... If you love someone it should be a 365 day a year show...

The whole thing started because St. Val was secretly marrying Christians in persecuted areas so honestly what you do for your lover on Valentine's day should be conducted in secret.

Bro, you do NOT let your broad pick a dinner spot. You tell her where and when you will be taking her.

It's such a shame we Sailors have to explain the obvious to these landlubbers

Yeah, if it were me ten years ago... Heck even 5 years ago... I'd be in all agreement.
