After taking some time off to shake off the slime my last noob left me covered in I have decided to stop sulking. I feel the evil rising. Mailboxes are EVIL and must be stopped. Your mailmen have become complacent. This ends now!

I have reopened the workshop and am currently hard at work. So, head to your local hardware store. Buy any mailboxes on sale. You never know if you're going to need a new one. People will be hurt, this is unavoidable and to be honest... preferable!

I have a list.. and yes... YOUR name is on it.

You might all want to take this opportunity to say your goodbye's to Frankie's mailbox.... and living roomBigGrin

What, what's that? Oh, that's the boubons you have yet to try laughing in the background. What an ominous sound! A trip around the USA you say? Virginia, Michigan, and Texas? Oh, a trip around the world. Australia, Taiwan, and India. A challenge accepted. No one here has my new address. Better hope no one has yours!

Cwench is awfully kind Conan. Before her I would have thought it impossible to anger you. I mean, your like the Hawaiian Dali Lama, or Frank in a kosher deli, or Salvatore Dali.

The sea was angry that day, my friends - like an old man trying to send back soup in a deli.

Now I have to read The Old Man and the Sea again... so depressing but, you put it in my head now. Luckily it's a quick one. Please refrain from any A Tale of Two Cities comments. Please?

My favorite Hemingway book.

Wrote my Junior Thesis on it. Unfortunately turned it in late and went from an A- to a B+ because of that. d'oh!

Of the two movie versions, prefer the Spencer Tracy one.

Fine. No Dickens. How about "There ain't no sin, and there ain't no virtue. There's just stuff people do."

Ought to keep you occupied for a bit

I think Tolstoy was a clairvoyant..

“Because of the self-confidence with which he had spoken, no one could tell whether what he said was very clever or very stupid.”

I think this one belongs in the Politics section..... Whistle

Brilliant reference. But, I've been chased out of my own thread to protect myself!! If someone talks about a book, even one I've read multiple times, I have to read it again. I'm about to tackle Jung's Aion. Or, I was about too....

The Old Man and the Sea
Grapes of Wrath
War and Peace
The Metamorphosis

Now I gotta go dig through "The Pile" and find them. "The Pile" is my entire garage. Back to front floor to ceiling stacks of boxes full of books.....

So not only do I get to read these classics...again. I get a nice workout trying to find them. Thanks....
