Since you brought him up in your thread that isn't supposed to be about him -Trump's approval rating higher than ever ABC poll. 55% I hear tell and on the rise!
Sorry Dems little hope of a socialist, gun grabbing, government expanding, corrupt swamper employee of Ukraine, etc. Getting in this go round. Maybe next time when the economy is bad dupes will be more ready for false hope of government knows best politics

not sure about that number...here's a site that compiles a number of national polls and publishes an average:

https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/trump-approval-ratings/

kinda steady at 43% approval and 52% disapproval...hasn't varied more than a point in either direction in a while, since the border crisis and the separation of families policy

Polls mean nothing. Hillary was gonna walk all over Trump.
News sources often get it wrong. Dewey beats Truman. You know how to tell Trumps popularity? He wins or he loses the election. Simple as that. Be consistent, that cuts both ways. You think abortions are murder? Then so is the death penalty. You think abortions are fine? Then so is the death penalty. Believe what you believe. I'll believe what I believe. Don't tell me WTF to believe, then I won't tell you WTF to believe. Tell me WTF to believe. Expect me to tell you WTF to believe.

Not trying to tell anyone what to believe, or be argumentative. I gotta stop posting when I'm drinking. But if a friend believes the bridge may be out ahead do you not hope he'll warn you of such a belief? I hope even an enemy would do me that kindness. Also I do support abortion as capital punishment for any infants in the womb who are found guilty in a fair trial where it's judged by a group of pears that the said infant is guilty beyond any shadow of doubt of such a crime deserving of capital punishment. Salt him/ her and chop him/her up alive.
As to hypocrisy as a defense for abortion- let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater.

Actually, drunk posting is encouraged.
It often reveals more about a person...

Michelle won't run and her popularity is no reason to believe she is the least bit experienced enough to take on the VP, let alone Presidency (god forbid)

I respectfully disagree as to her will to run but I hope you guys are correct. Sometimes egos confuse you as to your abilities. And if she really starts stumping for him my suspicions will ramp up. But it's been insinuated on here that I don't think well so we are safe.

I don't think Michelle has any desire for public office...she has often said she misses the anonymity of life before and doesn't enjoy life in the fishbowl...

she's prolly got the ability/qualifications to do the job...couldn't be worse than the incumbent...Princeton grad and Harvard Law School degree is no joke...practiced law and has experience in local politics and in education

answering Benny's questions:

which Dem? Joe Biden's the nominee, though he wasn't my top choice

How will he help the country?

he'll replace the worst egomaniac fraudulent golf-playing con-man to ever become POTUS...definitely won't spend as much time playing golf as Trump

won't need to have a running count about the number of lies he tells every day like there is with Trump

his focus will be more directed at the average working American instead of continually trying to enrich the fat cats and himself

he'll stop the destruction and re-start the fight to provide affordable healthcare to all Americans

reverse the damage done by Trump's de-regulation of environmental protection regs, to make air and water safer for Americans who live near manufacturing

re-engage the USA in global climate change efforts

re-establish partnerships with European allies and NATO and move USA back into global leadership role respected by rest of the world

bolster the protection of our elections by leading an effort to address outside interference
