wow....he called off the dogs on attacking the Asians...when he said it early in his speech, I thought he said we need to take care of our "aging"...

but during the QnA, a reporter asked about his mention of Asians. Trump said he heard peeps were attacking Asian Americans and he wasn't going to stand for peeps blaming great Americans, Asians, for the virus...

only a few days after he said "I T' S F R O M C H I N A"


wow...he didn't call it the Chinese virus during this speech....just wow

Barr and Birx should not play poker...frowns, looking down and twitching eyebrows and corner of mouths tells they aren't totally on board with POTUS...Trump's monotone delivery said it all...even Pence showed more life and emotion

but at least we're moving in the right direction and the Feds are now leading the logistical response and managing the supply chain...and building and staffing mobile hospitals

kinda worried that Trump said we may lift some social distancing/closures sooner...weeks...not months...keep an eye on the infections, Sir...

Trump is absurd.

That said most of the leadership has been at the state and local level anyway. Hopefully most just ignore Trump and do what needs to be done. That will likely be the case.

he really needs to stay out of the medical or epidemiological conversations. He doesn’t get it or intentionally lies. Trump lies about medical things are when faucis poker face fails him. When trump lies or at least gets wrong the medical part consistently. It would be hard to maintain integrity and work with the guy but I believe fauci does so because the stakes are so high.

I don’t hear fauci answering questions about the economy, stimulus packages or politics. He stays in his lane.

Trump needs to stfu about the medical and pandemic stuff. He does more harm than good. He has the experts there. A smart person knows when to listen. Trump flips between minimizing this as just the flu, getting on board, then going back to minimizing it again. We need steady strong leadership.

He should hold his maga rallies virtually but not while conducting serious business.

I'm thinking that this pandemic is like a virus attacking an individual's body...the person needs to work to pay the bills...

but his doctor says it is best that he stays home, rests and recovers and avoid infecting others...

he doesn't listen to the doctor, believes he needs to work to earn his pay and goes into work...

performs only half ass while infecting some of his colleagues...

he gets sicker and requires hospitalization.... wiping him out financially...

company struggles as half of its workers are sick and unable to work...loses major business and goes under...


moral of the story: a sick and frail body can not function correctly...let's get the body back to health, then turn it loose...

This is a stressful time for all of us. People will take things differently and react differently than you may think. Even yourself will react differently than you might normally.

Regardless of political take or sides of arguments remember that, be kind, be compassionate, be respectful of others as well as yourself.

Cuomo seems to be given a lot of credit for giving good speeches in this time of need as his state is by far the more afflicted but no criticism for his lack of action that got it there in the first place.

Oh he’s not perfect that’s for sure. I think the us as a whole was flat footed. NY is a subset of that. Despite the subject and start this thread reads more like a trump sucks than a Cuomo is great thread.

I think there is a stark difference between him and Trump in their grasp of the facts and actions taken. I think that’s why some are fawning. Admittedly my only eyes on experience in NY is at the hospital level.

But there is plenty of blame for both/all

This may be just like comparing the C+ student to the special ed kid. (We can’t say tard anymore). Some would dawn over the average student because all they have seen as of late is the tard.

Maybe those New England states should have locked down and mandated mask wearing. I'm sure those numbers coincide with those who didn't wear masks. All of the non-mask wearers are probably extinct by now and it serves them right for being so selfish.
