Murphy just announced jersey shuts down at 9 pm tonight. Good news is construction workers are included in the allowed to work catagory so who needs a new kitchen? I'll be off quarantine in 9 days

What's up?
Very slow and going to get boring very soon.
Watching some Vin Diesel movie. Well, half-watching...
Gonna clean the bedroom carpet and touch up the other rooms.
Can't think of anything to do.

Bar K is being shut down due to shelter in place. It’s a start up and might not survive. Frownie Face.

Look around you. If you aren’t getting stressed or down someone you know is. Help each other. Strange days indeed...most peculiar mamma.

I propose that when these restrictions are lifted, we all take time to patronize small bars and restaurants.

Big name chain places will be fine. Mom and pop shops will need the bidness.

They already had banned humans. Talking to the owner that eliminates 75% of their revenue which is from food and drink. He was just trying to keep staff working.

The shelter in place was announced as I was picking up the dogs. One of the dog tenders I like a lot was bawling. Normally I would have hugged her (I know her pretty well). She has immune issues and is taking care of her mom. She can’t afford the time off. I tipped her really well and told her I know it’s a drop in the bucket.

I myself am stressed but fortunate so far. Sure wish I could do more. Never seen anything like this.

And yes support the locals. This was a great concept that might get killed. Ugh.

I'm gonna go a big chunk further and say we all need to start seeking out american made alternatives to chinese products... and if no alternative exists we should voice our political support for tax breaks and other incentives for small businesses to start manufacturing these things and import taxes against chinese versions of these products, making chinese manufacturing unattractive...

we have to be wiling to pay more to avoid a greater final cost...

I thought I heard someone say small business loans are going to be 0% and then quasi can convert to grants if you can't't pay them back. Only qualification was that your taxes were currently up-to-date and paid.

I can guarantee there are two pubs near me that I will personally put back into the black when this is over..... I'm going stir crazy on top of my normal crazy. I had a dream I was eating a big marshmallow last night.... Apparently my wife was trying to end her suffering with a pillow.

Sheesh, I’m out to it! Didn’t know they were actually gonna do it till just now. Earlier yesterday Green said they were “thinking about” doing the 14-day quarantine but were still working things out. I guess in a 2-3 hour window, they sorted it out. Next is to figure out how to shutdown Waikiki.

It is now official. The 14-day mandatory quarantine announcement is being held as I type. It will become effective Thursday, March 26 to give people time to cancel their trips. Traveler will be responsible for the cost of the quarantine.

Hotels are announcing shutdowns too.

My buddy came in to the rescue. Have ammo for everything but a new one I just got. Came through with some for me until I can get some from the store when they restock. Cant wait till this is over so I can get another one when things restock as this is not good for home defense but more of a birdshot 2 shell shotty.

I had no 12. Just inherited one from a family member and had nothing for it. Everything else I'm good on. Now I'm good until the shelf restock and I can get my own and give back what I was given. Only wanted it so everything I own is ready to go if needed. I will be looking to unload the wife's 38 after all this though. She has taken a liking to my 9 now and wants to get her own.

Morning danm and yous guys. Just watched a demonstration on the tube about how to calculate the 6 ft distance. Two reporters stood 6 ft apart and reached out their hands toward each other. They said if their hands did not touch they were the proper distance.

Freekin' just shoot me nowd'oh!

If you can smell their fart, you're not far enough apart.

Edit to add:

Droplet is like a fart. It dissipates in a few minutes, and proximity determines how much you take in. But say a naked bean eating dude farted all over a bunch of stuff in a room - those poo particles take a while to dry up and not stink - that's contact.

The CDC is saying it's droplet. Which is where the distancing comes from. But also recommending contact isolation which is where the no face touching and frequent hand washing comes into play.

Nobody has immunity, if exposed - you get it, and spread it before you know you got it. Please do not downplay the seriousness of what's happening.
