ATT is having some serious issues with group texting... They've always had these issues but they're really bad right now...

If you have ATT and group text people who have any other service, there's a good chance your texts will be delayed for as much as 12 hours...

I personally received about a dozen or so texts between midnight and 2am from my mom and brother last night... and what I discovered is, if you want to get hold of me while I'm sleeping, texting is not the way to succeed cuz I sleep right through that nonsense...

our neighborhood set up a group text... I have t-mobile which I think is absolute sh$t... I think I'm getting about half the texts, and some of them so badly out of order I have no idea what someone's responding to until 6 hours later when the text they are referencing comes in.

Got some COVID-19. Gave some COVID-19.

A great friend stopped over today and gave me a COVI-19 boost. An hour later, I was able to pass it to two other brothers in the area. Disease spread, reviving tired souls.

That is what is going to help kill us through this chit.

Spread it to another. You won’t know what little thing can make a difference.

COVID-19 to all. Including Opel’s wife with her damaged fin.

Ride! Or, Keep Swimming.

That's the issue I'm having with my brother and mom... Talked to my brother, explained what the problem was, showed him the reddit articles... He says "ya I don't think that's what's happening"... d'oh!

The wife hates our group texts...

I think it's people who aren't used to being able to socialize at work all day... finally stuck at home and have no idea how to manage. The wife's been working from home for over a year now and thinks they're a distraction

Bought a few weeks worth of beer before everything shut down.

It's not gonna last a week.

Can't go anywhere, so if I don't have to drive, I can drink beer all day.

Made a pound of black beans, 2 cups of rice, and marinated some shrimps in taijin, lemon juice, and a mix of other bright spices. Cut down some 1/8" rod and made skewers that fit the racks in my electric smoker. Strung up the shrimps and got em cooking over some peach wood.

Never smoked shrimps before. In my head, the beans/rice/shrimp sounds like a good combo. Black beans were made with a little worchestershire sauce, garlic, onion, cumin, apple cider vinegar and salt.

Sounds like good news. I HATE group texts.

Whenever I'm included in a group text I just keep replying "STOP" and "Unsubscribe" any time I get another message.

It's been a while since anyone's included me in a group text. Now they harass my wife instead.

For the people with group texts, it's not always the carrier, mainly issues are with people having Android and iPhones in the same group. When both are in the same group Android people have problems getting texts from iPhones when they are multimedia texts like that.

I've heard this repeated... While it may in part be true, the far greater issue is with ATT's chosen method of sending group messages outside of ATT and their refusal for years to acknowledge and/or fix the issue...

Another one repeated often is that it has to do with spam settings on your phone... Again, maybe true in limited circumstances but I'm pretty sure these stories are circulated by ATT so they don't have to fix the problem...

Aaand I just got a group text.

A cousin suicided, so my mom sent out a group text.

I opted to just ignore it instead of replying stop/unsubscribe. I'm an azzwhole, but I'll let that one pass given the circumstance.

What?

I guess I'm getting old. This seems like a perfect example of the when NOT to send a group text. Unless this was a cousin that most on the group had a pool going....or the news is welcome.....seems like this sort of news would warrant a phone call or a visit

I've seen her maybe twice in my lifetime. Clarification: Cousin's wife.

I've seen that cousin maybe two or three times.

Could've just not passed along the information just the same.

My parents have seen them more often, but still not close. I'd bet it's been 20 years since last contact for anyone.

This sitting at home doing nothing chit sucks.

I usually sit at home and do nothing anyway, but will go to the hardware store or something to wander about.

Did a detail strip and clean on a couple guns today. Then went out back and shot them.

pretty sure the suicide rate will go up during the stay-at-home period...just the number of folks who contract the illness and are in the at-risk categories along with an overwhelmed medical care system is predictive...

part of the shutdown should include PSA's on depression coping and publicizing suicide prevention hotlines

Our school system just sent out guidance on navigating the provided curriculum at home with our kids... A whole section was devoted to maintaining personal mental health...

I think we should give Drafter every break we cann Delta. I've even laid off the crew that I hired to look for his birth certificate and I'll let the Gubermant pay them until Drafter goes back to work with a big raise and more executive perks.
