are out of their minds. What the **** does any of this have to do with the health and welfare of the US citizens?

"House Speaker Nancy Pelosi introduced her own emergency coronavirus stimulus bill on Monday, leading furious Republicans to argue that much of the proposal contained a progressive wishlist seemingly unrelated to the crisis -- including several provisions that amount to a resurrection of the notorious "Obamaphone" program, GOP officials said."

"The bill proposed by Pelosi, D-Calif., additionally seeks to eliminate debt held by the U.S. Postal Service, require same-day voter registration, pay off $10,000 in student debt per person, mandate that airlines reduce their overall carbon emissions by 50 percent by 2050, and force federal agencies to explain to Congress how they are increasing their usage of "minority banks."

"And, the legislation would provide for the automatic extension of nonimmigrant visas and restrict colleges from providing information about citizenship status. It would also allocate $35 million to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts"

Both parties are the same. Take a close look at the R bill. It is insane but open your right eye too.

Then watch the insane daily briefings.

What have we done.

I'm sure everyone was glued to CSPAN yesterday, so if you watched, don't bother.....

But, in case you missed it, watch Ben Sasse (starting at 7:15:32)....might give some a sliver of hope that somebody in the Capitol is on it

we have lost our minds...

the focus should be on the workers and businesses, small and large, that are impacted and/or go under...there should be moratoriums on rent payments, mortgage payments and credit card payments, and interest free re-payment plans for a reasonable period thereafter...we should extend unemployment benefits for a year or more, until unemployment rates reach a certain point, meaning the economy is in recovery for the average worker...we should replenish our pandemic stockpile of PPE and ventilators and other essential medical supplies...provide grants for students to go into nursing and medicine (this pandemic will kill a certain number of medical care pros)...if there is an infusion of cash payments to Americans, it should go to those put out of work or suffer other financial losses from the pandemic

As 'ol Everett Dirkson used to say: A billion here, a billion there and pretty soon we are talking real money. Except now it's with a T.

Now this is realistic and on point. Please do us all a favor and send this to Nancy along with some suggestions on how she might take herself out of our misery.

I agree. I don't want them to hand out money we don't have.

Let everyone get back to work, and mitigate the risk as best we can to those who are at risk. What we're doing is cutting off our heads to prevent a sickness we might get.

it's a little more than that...we are trying to save our medical care system from total collapse by slowing down the spread...

if the virus infects people without mitigation in place, the numbers of seriously ill people will be way beyond the system's capacity, and the onslaught will jeopardize the lives of our medical practitioners...

imagine your jail filled with 10 times the number of inmates and the same number of corrections officers...and the additional population are mostly violent felons

listen to the little guy standing behind Trump instead of Trump. The one who has worked to protect all of us under 4 GOP and 2 Dem administrations.
He is not running for office, he is not parsing words to make the news sound great.

Some folks have never bought in to the pandemic or the efforts to mitigate it. It’s hard to take the bitter medicine and stick to it when you never believed it the first place. That includes the President.
