Night shift will do that to you. I slept from 6-12 today. I'll be in bed before long and wide the eff awake a few hours later. Night shift plays mind games with my body clock.

Was doing okay for a few days but the last couple I've reverted back to being up all night.

Spey, yeah... I'm off right now and trying to keep stress from consuming me, avoiding news and stuff. I go back for another 7, reassigned to covid team without PPE, on Wed. A friend that works construction is going to try to get me some respirators tomorrow.

Been needing a haircut since before the haircut places stopped being an option. Starting to consider clippers, or maybe just going full on dirty hippie. Undecided

I've been shaving my head for 20 years. Clippers without guard most of the time, but I'll run a razor through if I gotta get dressed up and stuff.

Can do it at home, and it's always consistent.

Yep... me, too. I figured all of 'em were closed. Nope... I found one equally distant from the one I usually go to and the barber was better.

Little Filipino dude. Best haircuts I ever got were at old time barber shops in PI. This guy learned over there... and I just found a new, better barber.

Why is no one talking about the Reeses Sticks shortage? They are sold out everywhere! Hoarders should be strung up in the town square and horse whipped.... I need my peanut butter, chocolate and wafer fix! I dunno if anyone has mentioned it yet but, pandemics suck.

Heading to Sam's Club in a little bit for their special early "Senior" hour. If we are going to be stuck in the house, I want a sound bar for the big TV, and they have one on sale. I wonder if we'll find any TP?

Heading to the dunes in a bit to hike the 3 dunes challenge.

It's not my favorite hike. But I suggested it expecting wife to say no. But she didn't, so now I gotta see it through.

Nothing as fun as hiking in loose sand.

I'm risen, but no shining to be had in the area. No rain expected but still a grey cloudy day.

And I have perfectly normal sized ears thank you very much. Downright cute even

tried to go fishing yesterday... as I got to my spot on the river I noticed where usually 2 or 3 cars might be parked, there were dozens... all up and down the road that parallels the river, any spot that could accommodate a vehicle, 5 were squeezed in...

headed to the reservoir and found the source of the problem... sheriff chased everyone off the reservoir so they all went to the river...

oh well... no fishing for a couple months, when the high elevation stuff opens...

Mucho coffee then headed out with the wife on a short hike of about one hour. We have a few trails that are almost always empty but the more popular ones have become crowded and hard to keep any distance while passing. Friggin' newbies.

Here in NC, gun shops and ranges have been listed as essential businesses. Got to love this state.

Just got back from a 10 mile run. Finally feel like I'm getting back into shape. LMAO! It only took a year. Down to 190lb. Started yoga in Febuary. Now doing it online. Would like to add swimming, but I don't see pools opening anytime soon.

I have no idea what I weigh now. Probably too much.

scratch that...

Definitely too much.

We forgot to move our scale when we came out here and the woman has been complaining the past couple days that she doesn't know whether she's lost any weight with her 4 workouts a day.

I told her we could get a scale and begin mandatory weekly weigh-ins to ensure she remains within acceptable parameters.

She has so far declined.

Beautiful day for a hike. Only saw about a dozen others and everyone is keeping their distance. Going to be in the 50/80s all this week.

Iffn' anyone needs surgery (Ron) my place should be open for business. The wife has been so diligent in cleaning and disinfecting everything the past two weeks that I'm thinking it's like an operating room in here now. Even mail has to be kept in the garage in quarantine for 24 hours before opening.

I just started doing yoga at my back Dr's instance... He said do you want 3 more rounds of needles in your spine or not... Got a yoga mat and am also doing it online.....

It's kicking my azz! Who knew? I'm gonna be back to my fighting weight in no time! 215 to 220 is my beach body weight. I think I'm at 235 atm... Trying to think of a way to get a weight loss contest going that would be fair.... any idea's?

Not related to weight loss, but for back problems pilates is pretty good.
I've slipped my L4/L5 a number of times, and after one particularly bad incident the Dr had me doing PT for a while. Most of the exercises were pilates style exercise to strengthen the muscles in the stomach and down the back to keep everything in place.

Is it that much different from Yoga? I just read an article about it... I think the main difference is there is more movement in Pilates? Do I have that right?

The trail we took has you walking up three dunes at about 200ft each. You walk up, enjoy the view and catch your breath, then stumble down trying not to break your ankles. Once the trail levels off, you climb another.

Several years ago we were over ambitious and took the longest trail on the map. 6-7 miles if I remember correctly. I figured it would take us about 2.5 hours and the map pamphlet said the trail was moderate difficulty. We usually try to hike all the rugged and very rugged trails when we go to the parks. So, moderate shouldn't be too bad. 2 hours into the hike I realized we weren't even halfway yet as we'd not yet crested the dunes back to the beach.

Then we had to walk 3 miles down the beach. In hindsight, we would've been better off turning around and hiking back through the woods the way we came. It took nearly 5 hours. It was hot and dry, so the sand was all super loose. Tried walking closer to the water where the sand was firmer but you still sank in. There was no solid ground to walk on.
