Only have experience with the Genesis and smoked one earlier this month. The Robusto Extra I sparked up was from 2014 and it was GREAT for a 1/2” and then went meh after that. There have been posts saying that the OR was a great, inexpensive smoke but later releases not so much. Of course everyone’s palate is different and ymmv so take that with a grain of salt.

Smoked a LOT of them back in the day........hundreds.
The OR Bueso the Project release and up to 2014 or so was good imho, especially the Toro.
But alas..........they went downhill. Still have an almost full box from 2014, and they are quite good, but still not as good as 12 and 13 were in my recollection.

The Habano I gave up on due to my well known disgust as it being simply the most inconsistent cigar I’ve ever smoked.
Very good cigars mixed with absolute dog rockets........from the same box........and stayed that way for 2+ years....WTF...

I tried winning the under fermented Olancho......heard some good things about it..........some not so good.......gave up trying........not tha. Interested.

Will second (third?) the comments that they went downhill. I actually had a really good one last year as part of a cheap sampler deal CI had and given how yellow the cello was, I'm guessing to old OR stock they were clearing out. Either that or got very lucky. Apart from that odd type of purchase, I gave up on them after many disappointments.

If you want to try them, I've got a bunch I got conned into buying. I'd be glad to shoot you a few if you're interested.

OR Genesis The Project in like... 2012 was it?... was legit amazingly good.

OR Genesis Habano was very solid and tasty, not as good as OR The Project but quite good.

In recent years? Not so much. I'd look elsewhere. They're outclassed by stuff like the 601 Blue and 601 Steel, lots of AJ cigars and many other cigars.

Much appreciated gunner, but based on the comments here, I will pass. Plus, I am genuinely concerned with any of you jokers having my address...

Smoked what may be last last Genesis torpedo from 2015 yesterday. I don't think I'll be buying any more. The older ones were pretty good.

Well thanks a lot!
I just won a fiver of Toros for $8, and I expect them to be amazing!!

Actually I was on Geeks the other day, and there are a few fairly recent reviews that give me hope.

The Genesis Habano is a really great cigar. Didn't have many transitions, but that means it's a consistent smoke. Burns very well, perfect draw, beautiful and tasty.

The whole line for me has followed this pattern:

-Original release AMAZING, bought a bunch.

-After that, they went downhill, not horrible, indeed still good, but not great anymore. Stopped targeting them for purchase.

-Recent singles included in samplers....pretty darn good again! Are they OR's that have been sitting around in the warehouse that they tossed into samplers or have the recent issues gotten better?

Even the 5er's from Cbid could be old stock they are clearing out, so the only way to tell for sure is for someone to buy several full boxes and start sending them to everyone in the thread for our reviews and comments Angel

Haven’t won any.......only tried once.
I’m pretty picky these days as far as buying here.........it’s been Melanios and Sobremesas mainly, with an odd fiver here and there.

It's OK. You can make a nice dip with cheddar and some chopped jalapeños instead

$2.50 a stick? No way! That Bueso stuff is typically available as part of CI's twice-yearly (December and June) "10-pack plus $20 Bucks card" deals for $1.00-1.50 each net price.

If you like Bueso stuff, stock up twice yearly on that sale and abstain the rest of the year to save lots of money.

Ramon Bueso (the human) was "allegedly" a total wild man when he was 20-25 yrs old(clandestinely speaking, never garnering unwanted attention) back in the day...1981 -86...he used his tobacco knowledge, contacts , limited family wealth and influence and Honduran political influence throughout nearby Central AMERICAN neighboring countries...

He knew many "connected" people's...while helping several causes...
And that's all I'm gonna speculate about that...

His cigars are excellent...

I never had a really bad one...

Maybe 5-10 subpar?ones...

I have purchased well over 400-500?? or more ...of many vitolas...
I like Genesis the project the best
