The Ole Pro is winning his battle with high blood sugar.

It has been 1 month now since my blood work came back with a blood sugar reading of 342. It should be 110-140.

It has been 30 days of no alcohol, red meat, fried foods, bread, sweets, or sugar drinks.

My last 10 readings have had 8 in the 130’s and 2 in the 160’s.

I will have a steak and a few beers on my birthday this Sunday then I will be back on the plan until I get to 110 and I can go off of the MetFormin.

It’s hard to imagine 30 days of no alcohol, red meat, French fried, potato chips, candy bars, and the like but it hasn’t been that hard so far.

My A1C was 10.7. Once it is safe to return to the Doctor, I will have it checked again. I am hoping it is down 5.5 or less now.

as a diabetic for the past 10 years, I know the journey you're on...I couldn't control the elevated blood sugars by diet and exercise...and have been on Metformin for 2.5 years...last A1C was the second 7.5 in four months...

doc is giving me three months to see if I can get it down to 7.0, which he said would be OK for someone my age...if not, he's gonna prescribe a second med...

wish you the best, Bart...

Try " Cinnamon 1,000 mg" one capsule after breakfast, one after dinner. Or adjust strength of your choice.
Wife & I started months ago and greatly decreased blood sugar level. Keep up the good work.

Outstanding! Well done Pro.
For a lot of that stuff (sugar, salt, crappy carbs, etc. ) the first 72-96 hours is the worst..........it is for me at least.

It takes work Bart. Don't push to go off the Metformin, your doctor will tell you if and when it becomes time. Shortly after my open heart surgery my blood sugar was 314 and my A1C was 12.5. I got it under control but not to the medication removal point. BTW you need to use Ceylon cinnamon. All other at that level can ruin your liver. I got serious from last March. I have dropped from 267lb to 190 lb. Being a tall man the weight had snuck up on me. My A1C is now 5.2 and my blood sugar averages 78. I am no longer on medicine and no longer a diabetic. I run 12 miles a day, and have just started doing serious yoga. You can do this. But don't do it part way. It was really simple for me I reached the point where I wanted to live a quality life. I wanted to be the best I could be and the best I could be for my family. And yes I wanted to be the best I could be for my woman.

Does anyone know about natural
Cholesterol reducers?

I know about OATS...but Cheerios are the highest residual
"Round up" poison containing food available...
Cheerios are like 2,000++ over the roundup recommended
Daily intake...

So I buy "organic" oats...

Any other suggestions?

Thanks!!! For any recommendations...

hey Jonesy, if you like oats, and don't mind a little fuss, try Coach's Oats...takes about 5 minutes to prepare, but worth it...I add cinnamon, a splash of maple syrup, and chunks of banana or berries or apple

congrats on that great achievement...prolly added several years and a ton of quality to your life...I regret I can no longer run, due to knee replacement (running wrecked my knees, but I enjoyed running: and playing tennis, which also hurt my knees), but I walk 5-7 miles a day, sometimes more...

so you got decent results from ceylon cinnamon? how much do you consume daily? any side effects?

Al the Ceylon works great, the others do too but they have a very damaging component to them that will cause damage from long term use for the amount needed to help blood sugar. I take 1000 mg twice a day. There are no side effects that I am aware of and I don't have any.

A healthier cheat: pure protein bars. It's the only brand I've found that doesn't want to make me vomit while eating. My favorite current flavor is chocolate peanut caramel
20 grams protein 2 grams sugar 190 calories. I use em for meal replacements tho they say not to, not sure why.

Actually tastes like a candy bar. You can break alittle when you get a sweet tooth urge and not do too much damage.
Amazon sells em in 12 packs for about $1 a piece

congrats on your endevour and keep at it!

Garlic
Chia/hemp/flax seeds

Not cure all's but the added omegas and fiber do help

Oh and the sulfer compounds in the garlic are prebiotics as well and help immune system...eat enough and social distancing is easy

Also look into moringa as well

I checked with my doctor today, via messaging and he had an associate who is an expert on diabetes respond: do not recommend taking cinnamon supplements...studies are not conclusive...some show positive outcomes...others show no effect or negative outcomes...maintain diet and exercise and take prescribed meds...
