I noticed that Trump was starting to take this seriously a few days ago...was wondering what changed...

then I saw the numbers in the USA....several GOP/red states like Florida, Alabama, Texas and Georgia were experiencing fast growing numbers and the governors of those states were declaring emergencies and asking for fed help...including deSantis, the arrogantly inept Gov of Florida who promoted spring break activities and open businesses, and refused to institute social distancing until the state was over-run...

shame to play pandemic politics...now all the cons who agreed with Trump that this was no big deal and that we have to keep businesses open will see that it IS a big deal, like we've been saying for several weeks...

Pay attention to her you old fart.

My daughter, also a nurse, was kind of pissed I was still going to work. After explaining my work adjustments she got onboard........I lock everyone out of the plant when I am inside.I travel from one plant to the other without stopping anywhere.I avoid all human contact except for my plant boys and my wife.Wish I could a few weeks break from them........not wifey just my yahoo's.I honestly haven't been this happy in a long time........anxious about the surgery but happy.Fewer people pissing me off seems to be working.

just my opinion Whistle...just last week, Trump was talking about reopening the country on Easter Sunday, saying the cure could be worse than the disease..

while Trump continued to publicly criticize Dem Governors who complained about getting very little of their emergency supply requests from the feds...Trump responded: "we're not shipping clerks" and "if they want help, well it goes both ways" "that snake Gov in Washington"

and minimizing the threat of the virus, Trump said: "the flu kills millions every year and we don't shut down" "auto accidents kill thousands and we still make cars"

then there was the story earlier this week about Florida Gov deSantis/GOP finally instituting statewide social distancing measures...and requesting major federal aid....and getting everything on his list...

and also this week, Trump saying this is serious...

I drew my conclusion and that's my opinion...

if you have a different explanation, I'd be glad to hear it

Thank you, Al, for the work you do in the area of infectious disease control. You're expertise is both appreciated and surprising, considering that during the impeachment proceedings you were obviously a Constitutional Scholar.
The breadth of your knowledge knows no end.
Some might say that it's "victor-esque". But those people are just hateful name callers.

I would be on the road now. Truck loaded down with steel, ordnance, booze and cigars.

Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms should be a convenience store, not a government agency. horse

not an expert at anything, but I can and will state informed opinions here...despite all the name callers who disagree...that's why I come here...to see if my opinions are worthy of scrutiny...

and occasionally, I am convinced by those with opposing opinions that I am wrong, and am willing to adjust...part of the value of an open market of ideas in this forum...

you seem sort of muted nowadays, rarely giving your opinions on national events, other than criticize and name call when you read something with which you disagree...

as compared to your vocal opinions during the past POTUS's tenure...

why so BASHful

I didn’t see that. It was pulled almost directly to a meme I just saw a couple days ago. Repackaged a bit but it’s the same. I laughed when I read it.

It was a meme worthy of repetition.
