Got the stuff on her list, and picked up a handle of blended scotch. Never tried it, love scotch, but at $20 for a handle I'm thinking its gonna be a mixer. We'll see. My expectations are low.

AT 20 bucks I'd say it's most likely top barrel single malt from a pig farm drained through a groundskeeper's sock and cut with Viper!

ALWAYS go with the single malt!

I dont mind blended scotch. I always keep a bottle of Johnnie black on hand, its my go-to for a glass of scotch with a cigar.

Single malt is great if im looking for scotch, but typically I'm looking for a cigar, and drinking scotch with that.

Also, that video was about my reaction to the stuff.

Picked a fight with the big mesquite tree in the front yard. I managed to lop off a few big arms but he got me a half dozen times and almost knocked me off the ladder when one limb came down.

good catch, LMAOOOH! I had to edit that thing for more than that, hehe

I usually double check all my posts because my typing skills are terrible and big, long fingers don't work so well nowadays. That arm sweat water might actually work as well, hehe

Congrats MACS, I know what your next few days might be busy with, LOL. Now, put all that research to work, hehe. We want to see the results at the Zoom this Saturday. Glad the eye is greatly improved, that had to be like a constant grain of sand in yer eye!

G'Day ALL, DOn't be bad!

danm, life's TOO short to be buying and drinking bad blended Scotch! I would've told them that they should be offering samples for something that cheap!

Wife's gone for the day.

Went for a walk with the boy and the dogs.

A mile into the walk the boy started clenching his cheeks and said "I gotta poop" So we turned around and walked home. Didn't crap his pants, so still won.

Chicken on the smoker, brined it overnight.

Mowed the ditch with the trimmer, edged along the driveway and stuff, and mowed the lawn. Got stuck about as much time as I was moving, and the whole thing's a muddy mess but the grass was a foot deep in many places. Mowed as high as the deck would go and still was bogged down most of the time. Only did half the yard, didn't go out back, still took over 2 hours.

Received our Stimulus check yesterday so went down to the credit union to deposit it.

Got a call a couple hours later. Apparently the check was postdated for 5/22 so they had to retract the deposit and said they'd hold on to it and re-deposit on Friday.

No biggie but since when does the government send out postdated checks? Think

Didn't realize how far off the mounted thermometer in my new grill was from actual.

Used my digital probes for smoking and the grill temp is reading 280 while the mounted thermometer is reading 100.

Explains why I was having issues with overcooking and burning stuff.

I figured you'd enjoy that vid...it's from a cult classic Street Trash. Low budget and fun to watch!

I hear ya about the booze. I'm at that stage in life where I'm not going to sacrifice quality for a buck. I like a deal like the next guy and will tell my friends about good deals but I've never found a scotch at 20 bucks that's worth it to drink. Maybe to peel paint off the house or oil off garage floor.

That said, I really can't go back to a blended scotch. Used to think Johnnie Walker was that and a bag of chips. Went on a journey that took me through a LOT of single malts and now know the difference. You have to have a REAL scotch to start with for a blended one so...my tastebuds decided that if that's where they're starting I should too! It was a fun ride and interesting journey. Kinda like caviar and champagne was. More fun than rum.

Enjoy!

Thank you, gentlemen... much appreciated.

I made 2 stops on my way home from the Administration dept... after they made my retired ID. One was at the boat center. They had the boat I was looking at for 58.5k out the door... I offered 50k out the door and will wait to see what they say. They said another guy was already approved to buy it, but I'll bet that was BS. If they don't call with a counter offer... so be it. I'll keep looking.

Stop #2 was Total Wine for a 12 pack of Spaten for the beer fridge. Prolly have me one with a Boli CG later (thanks again, DED!).

If they call back and say it's available...tell them thanks for calling you back and "would you believe it...I found one with yada yada yada and this that and the other thing"...at 47k. They give any push let them know you've got "another" on the hook and ready to pull the trigger.

Actually... I bet I saw at least 4 people browsing and the guy who I was conversing with via e-mail was with another potential buyer when I got there.

I've done a bit of research. I think what I offered for a 1 year old boat with 187 hours on the engine is good. The hull warranty is 10 years and the Suzuki motor warranty is 5 from original date of purchase. The aluminum trailer looks to be in good shape, too... bunks look good, leaf springs not rusted and it has disk surge brakes. Minor wear on the bolsters, and some gashes in the bait tank lid (from cutting bait, I bet). A few things they need to tighten up and it needs a good scrubbing but if they agree to the offer they'll clean the hell out of it, first.

A brand new one is 41k with a canvas t-top and 150 hp engine. This one has a solid fiberglass top, compass, twin simrad fish finders, a 200 hp engine, bluetooth stereo with 4 speakers and a trailer. So likely around what they're asking brand new.

Absolutely. There are some unreal deals right now. Just got a new 2020 honda in exchange for my 2018 honda. Exact same car $68 bucks a month less!

Macs, I thought you were going to wait on the boat until you move away from Cali?

I dunno... but I did go to a dispensary and grab an 1/8 of lemon burst sativa buds. Smells awesome, but it's pretty damn powerful at 21.5%.

My company made the decision to gift Friday off for all 1500+ people.

The reasoning being they have found so few people have been taking pto over the last four months, they fear mass burnout is in the offing. I took them up on the offer.

Going into today personally, I’ve used four hours since New Years Day. I’m probably one of the burnouts they are talking about.

Good morning fellas.

My new bong gets delivered today! No more of the 6" little acrylic piece of crap with a hairline fx!
Today: 8' tall sliding glass doors are getting new rollers and should glide with one finger says the guy coming to do the repair. Then, my new a/c company is coming to inspect the system and do whatever they need to so we are optimized for the summer.

Macs, be careful with that stuff. It is probably 4-6x more potent than what you smoked 35 years ago. Start with a piece the size of a small pea or BB. Wait a few minutes for you it to hit you and you won't over-use and should have a better experience.
